he may laugh now but we will get the last laugh when he tries to pull this crap with the Prequel Trilogy.. lol

The day he can bring out about 5 different editions of that set and expect to sell them like crazy is the day i marry Jar Jar Dinks...
im sure 90% of you would never re purchase the prequels as much as you did the originals...

i would love to buy some of them but unfortunatly i have no more room in my closet... not only do i have every micro machine of star wars made, as well as hundreds of power of the force figures and on top of that the good ol vintage guys!

if you guys wanna see a pathetic line of toys check out episode II!!
no offence to anyone who likes them but those were the biggest POS ive ever seen... lol

all i need to make copys of my laserdisc's is either a video card with a video in.. or my buddy says i could use a capture device...

anyone have any ideas on how i could get these without paying top dollar??

wanna know the sad thing?
im more excited for Return of the King on DVD than i am for Episode 3 and the SE trilogy combined...

doesnt that tell you something?

it could be the fact that not only does Jackson offer us the choice to buy 2 different versions of the movie, but he also makes the 4 disc set explode with extras.. and thats just one movie!!!

it saddens me to think that for all 3 Star Wars movie we're just gonna get 1 disc....

why do they have to put them in such stupid poses?? cant they just make they're legs straight like the old ones?? man!

the only thing they have right on these figures are the packages... thats the only thing that looks vintage...
other than that, its just more money going to turkey neck to fund his altering of the trilogy... shame indeed!

I have to vent after reading Bill Hunts column on the bits today...

i remember the day that they joined us in this petition and they were advertising it as much as they could.. but now what does he say? "no amount of protesting, boycotting and petitioning by the fans will make that happen" I think it was Jay who said this on here that people dropped this petition when it was yesterday's news. I couldnt agree more. It disgusts me that they took off the link to our site so long ago and have never mentioned us since then.

More interesting things in the article is how he tries to make the bits seem like the samaritan of bootlegging. "We don't condone bootleg DVDs here at The Bits" haha this i have to laugh at. They dont condone it, however they have a link in that same article which has stats on each of the different bootlegs. So in other words you dont condone it but figured you would give all the information possible. Thats like saying i dont condone drugs but i show my kid the proper way to bump a line.

last but not least is how similar his post sounds like the originaltrilogy petition speech. Please read both and tell me if you notice any similarities?

I dont know about anyone here but i think i've really lost the love for Star Wars. Before it was all about discussing the movie with friends over a big bowl of popcorn and carbonated sodas. But now it just brings out the worst in people. I dont think you can go on one Star Wars message board and see someone bashing the movie and what it has become. Its probably just late and i'll probably end up regretting this whole rant but i just need to vent these feelings to see if there is anyone else out there who is just getting sick of all of this. Well i am.

simply put... Lucas is a wacko!!
he has no talent like he did back in the day...

he hit it big with Star Wars... and rode Spieldbergs coat tails for Indiana Jones....
what else did the man accomplish... hrm... we have Howard the Duck (which although i loved it as a kid just cuz the duck could talk) that was a complete disaster along with Willow which again wasn't a blockbuster either....

so what does the man do with the movies that made him what he is today? and dont you Lucas lovers tell me those movies didnt put his ass on the map... cuz if he had never been as succesful as he was with those he'd still be wearing his flannel and sporting his afro! (hrm.. he still wears flannel though..)

i personally think he should go live with Bubbles and Michael Jackson on Neverland ranch...

well everyone now that the word is out i have two things to say....

1 - i knew Lucas was going to f**k this up... not a surprise...

2 - i will be backing up my laserdisc's and for anyone who can prove to me that they own the original Star Wars trilogy i will also look into sending you a copy...

SIDE NOTE - Jay if there is anything wrong with what i have posted you have full rights to delete it. I do not plan on making any profit out of this, i just want people to have the best quality print of the film if they do plan on making a backup. Please get back to me on this.

I do apologize in advance if i have caused any problems but im sure this hits us all hard...

to tell you the truth i have tons of things i loved about the SE's but they are all very minor minor things... that didnt do a lot to the plot...

such as:

the snowspeeders not being translucent anymore.

the old scene with Biggs at the ending of new hope was an absolutly amazing idea and is now one of my favorite scenes in the SE's

i liked how they cleaned up the smudge under the landspeed in ANH

even the death star scene battle in ANH was much more exciting

the new entrance into cloud city wasnt that bad but as for making all the walkin through cloud city shots have some sort of ship fly by the windows was cheesy and should have been left that plain white... sorda that uneasy feeling

last one i can think of is the bantha heard at the beginning of ROTJ oh ya and the sandcrawler shots in ANH

as for ROTJ... that SE had nothing good in it except for the bantha thing mentioned above... Lucas completely butchered that SE beyond belief!

nothing can top the old look and colours of the 1970's and 1980's action figures...

okay so i saw the movie cold mountain last night with my girlfriend so i could evaulate it for the oscars...
i think it was unbelievably amazing... it am surprised it wasn't nominated for more oscars than it was... however i have a couple bones to pick here so just hear me out...

first off i was amazed at all the actors in the movie... especially when i saw Natalie Portman in it... that immediatly made the movie more worth while.. lol.. jk

but something which i must say i had kinda mixed thoughts about was the nudity and sex... which i must admit i never have a problem with because if theres one thing i like it's nudity and sex... but i think in a movie like this i just kinda tarnished the whole look and feel of some scenes... such as

SEMI SPOILER!!!!

when he goes to the house with his priest friend he meets along the way and is offered to have sex with one of the girls while his buddy is have sex with like 4 of them!! she literally bends over the table and lifts up her dress totally bare assed.... now i dont wanna sound like a complainer but that was just kinda shocking in a movie such as this....

then we have the sex scene with Jude and Nicole which wasn't that bad with showing her nipple and all because i semi expected it but did anyone else notice her pubic area caught on film??? maybe i was just looking to close but it was fairly noticable especially with the camera that close...

then finally we have the scene with Natalie Portman... and this one i knew i was looking too close! come on guys it Nat here... lol
if you look closely to when Jude hops in bed with her and after she finishes crying... she curls up beside him and he puts his arm around her... well lets just say that either they deliberatly missed her nipple coming out of her dress or they were just blind... i guess her nightgown must have got caught up on his shirt or somthing and ended up pulling down her neck line revealing a little shot of her nipple
however i wasnt so much bothered by that one! lol

well this was just a small gripe i was talkin with a bunch of friends about and figured i would bring it to your attention....
anyone else noticed any of these??

Okay well im gonna make this easy for everyone here...
lol

i had phone numbers and all but since i lost my bookmarks im kinda lost now...
so what i did is went to the Universal website and emailed them telling them of the problem... in which they told me to send them my mailing address and they would send me the prepaid evelope ...

well i got that today and mailed it out... they said in the letter i got today i should have it in a couple days.. so its not like it will take a long time either...
and to those who live in Ontario where i do... i must say we are the luckier ones because the discs are coming from Toronto.. hehe

maybe thats why it takes such a short time??

but anyway ya... just send them an email telling them of the problem... u should be fine!
