i also remember waiting in the damn rain to see this movie... totally pumped with the biggest smile on my face ever....

and after 2 hours i officially hated the Star Wars prequels...

i used to put a GT Snowracer (sorda like a toboggan for those who are confused) propped up on pillows in my living room, turn on that scene and have friends rock the Snowracer back and forth when the speeder would turn....

those were the days...

i feel the same way... CG is nowhere near replacing actors...
not for a very long time i think...

the only convincing CG role i found as close to believable was Gollum...
this was definatly due to Andy Serkis and the unbelievable amount of heart he put into this character...
other than that what else do we have?

dunno if any of you have played or seen Farcry... i finished upgrading to a P4 over the weekend so now im putting my pc to the test...
all i need now is a insane video card and im all set... but im gonna put that on hold for a little bit.... ive got a pretty decent one as we speak...

well im gonna put in my last two cents here...

bottom line is... the prequels were so different from the original movies that they will not be loved by those who grew up with the originals and those who did not grow up with the originals will prolly love the prequels...

me... now that i think of it....
I would rather watch the Star Wars Holiday Special, Ewoks: Battle of Endor, Droids and the Ewoks cartoons than even sit through one viewing of either prequels...
you can choose which one cuz both were disgusting .... well.... SHIT!

jimbo will die loving AOTC and will always think (lol, i love this part) that the story and acting was by far the best.... hahaha but he still wont admit these movies were just an effects show... let him think that....
believe me when you say that you will never be able to introduce him to reality... TRUST ME!

i stand by the idea he should throw both versions into an uber one last time "on dvd" box set...

lol if u think this is bad... think about this...
he still has a good 2-3 months to add further changes...

dont forget that when the SE were announced there were a couple small scenes that no one had even seen yet... so although we are going to have a sneak peek at some stuff... there still may be more shit tinkered that we dont know about...

and i know he has more coming.. this is just the tip of the iceberg....

but in some respects i do think the OT ships looked more "realistic"...

hehe thats great...

i actually went to the Staples copy center because a friend of mine works there... so i got them all done for free...

the covers i printed were the old school style ones...
similar to the first box set of vhs tapes... ie. painted artwork... i prefer that look best..

When i printed off my covers for my DVD's i didnt want to waste the ink in my printer and wanted a truely pristine cover....

so i just took a disc to a printing house... measured up a dvd cover and told them to print it in those dimensions...

no word of a lie... it looks exactly like a regular dvd cover would... semi glossy and all... thats what i suggest anyway... its about $1 a copy and you really get your money's worth...
