The DVDs coming in 2004 are not exactly the same as they were in 1997. A few small modifications have been made. Of course Lucas is far to busy with Episode 3 to do as many changes as he would like. The result in 2007 for the 30th aniversery of the saga there will be Ultimate Editions. These versions will include added effects and scenes to give all six films connection. New scenes for the original trilogy have already been shot during the production of the prequels. We can only guess what he has planed at this point but Ultimate Editions are definutly coming.

why does Lucas have to add effects to the OT to give all six films connection???
wasnt he supposed to take care of that in the prequels???
oh ya i guess not... he was too busy screwing them up i guess...

Says who?

i'll answer for jimbo... after all it's obvious what he's gonna say
the digital bits said it. I love the digital bits. they are always right! They dont just post rumors. They have industry sources that are reliable. Trust me! I love the bits. I love Lucas!

i think i got that about right...

Luke Luke Luke. Poor poor simple Luke. Hardcore Legend posted that not me. I have nothing against the puppet Jabba in Return of the Jedi. Except that he didn't move. You have to learn to read more fully before you post and to start respecting others opinions.

lol
jimbo you have really learned to copy what i always have to say to you...
and Jabba wasnt supposed to move.... they only came up with that idea when the SE came around...

Well, seing as I was the one that said it, I will respond. I never said anything about the SE ANH looking good, I said that the Jabba in the Phantom Menace looked more realistic than the puppet in ROTJ. I'm sorry, but a puppet will always be a puppet. You can tell everytime. The only exception is with Yoda in ESB, but even then if you know anything about film you still look for the camera tricks that are used to hide it. I'm not a CGI fanboy, but I can't with a clear soul pass into the next life saying that the Jabba in ROTJ looked real, I mean, the man had no throat, just a mouth and toungue.

oops... sry bout that dude... i just saw the avatar and figured it was jimbo.... actually i agree with your post somewhat.... i can see where your coming from...

jimbo take some lessons from this guy... he gives reasons as to why things are the way they are..
not just...
SE are so much better than the crappy OT cuz I said so!!!

must play games
Time
cant say i have either...
gamecube?

i'm actually kinda angry lately with the Star Wars games they've been releasing...
KOTOR and SW Galaxies i bet are great games and all but what about for people who dont like RPG...
what happened to good old fashioned action games???
sure we have Star Wars Republic Commando but you gotta be honest and tell me that this game doesnt look like crap... my honest opinion anyway...
then we have Star Wars Battlegrounds... which although it looks cool... is similar to BF 1942 and if anyone has played BF1942... you know it just cant be copied...

so finally i saw the trailer for Star Wars Jump to Lightspeed..
I believe its an expansion pack for SW Galaxies... this game looks just amazing!!
however its another sort of RPG/Strategy game...
ARG!!
cant they just give us a game similar to Rogue Squadron....
where u fly a ship pretty much and kick some major ass...
think of all the battles they could have in it as levels...

Battle of Yavin, Battle of Hoth, Battle of Endor, Death Star 2, Outside the 2nd Death STar....
even small missions such as astroid fields, speederbike chases, landspeeder races...
i dunno.... im just rambling now...

here are some screenshots of SW Jump To Lightspeed

Haha...I'm remembering you comment about Jimbo looking like the alien in the cantina with the blue milk, and I'm trying to picture that alien breaking out of iron shackles...

lol..
you just brought up a great question for me to ask...
sweet!

remember when Luke is having dinner with his aunt and uncle...
well we see aunt beru pour Luke or Owen some sort of blue/green milk...
anyone know what that was in the movie or in real life...
i always thought just milk with colouring...

anyone?

And equally so, it has always annoyed me when Leia is pulled into Jabba's chest you can see the cheap "skin" material used give way as if she is falling onto a paracheut. The puppet Jabba looks very "fake" compared to TPM Jabba. I've always felt that alot of the early scenes in ROTJ have dated the film. I mean, when I watch ESB, I feel that it was filmed 20 years AFTER ROTJ, 3 before.

jimbo you have no clue what looks fake...
the ROTJ Jabba had nothing fake about him...
"paracheut"????? what the hell are you?

a paracheut expert...
lol

man can we still create polls on here...
i wanna see how many people think the SE ANH jabba looked fake or did the OT ROTJ jabba look fake..

Jimbo, at least watch the movie before you bash it. Be intelligent enough to have justification for your rants and raves.

jimbo and intelligent don't belong in the same sentence Bossk...
ignorant possibly...

Fan-boy myth! No matter how many times I've listened to it I have never heard anything that even sounds like "Carrie!" I think Luke just says "Hey!" Here's the truth:

thats what i thought too...
i cant make out the word "carrie" in there whatsoever...

not sure if this is a mistake or not but when luke, chewie, han and leia are in the garbage compacter and theres that really loud noise...
the camera has the whole group in the shot... if you watch Lukes mouth you can make out "what was that"...

i think we discussed this earlier on the board....
some thought he was saying it to himself...
but i have a feeling if he was saying it to himself he wouldnt make it so obvious...

and then theres the whole Luke calling Leia "Carrie" when he gets back to Yavin after destroying the death star....
