Editing the '2oo4 Editions' - which changes would you revert?

The intention from the start was to replace HUMAN JABBA with a CREATURE JABBA (stop motion animation - like Ray Harryhausen style), in 1976 at the time of filming they hadnt fully decided what Jabba would actually look like, character designs were created, but I guess GL wasn't happy with what was created & the scene was eventually edited from the movie. It wasn't until production of Return Of The Jedi had started that the finalised look of Jabba was achieved.

you've gotta be kidding me?
so pretty much people are gonna be raping the stores for this set now that they have called it a "limited release"...

well hopefully ill get a job at Future Shop before this is released...
if i do get it im gonna risk my job just to prevent people from buying this...
i'll tell each and every customer this is not the version they saw in theaters back in the 70s and 80s..

I am under the impression that he looked at the Trilogy in '94 when he started on the SE and thought to himself "Hmm... how could I make this absolutley suck?"

maybe it was an experiment... he thought he movie was flawless and then he said one day... "i have all these fans tied around my finger... are they gonna hate anything i do? Lets find out shall we.."

and the SE was born!

i can live with effects changes just as long as their not distracting to the story/dialogue (ie. luke and obi wan being interrogated by the stormtroopers on tatooine) and they have to look like they fit with the look of the film...

so i dont mind the space battles... i can even live with the small eye candy like the batha's walking across the dune sea in ROTJ...

but i still despise the entrance into Mos Eisely, Cloud City windows, jedi rocks, end celebration and so on...

but dialogue changes are just not necessary whatsoever!!!

"Mr. Governor, we need to know when are you going to meet with the union leaders, they demand 20% up on their benefits. They demand to arrange a meeting with you tomorrow morning."

"Well ya can tell those wimpy little mahns thaht I'm going to kill tham personally, with my beahre hands!"

"Mr Governor you cannot solve all the problems of California by the use of violence, bodybuilding contests, or machine guns."

"Oh yeah? Take dis!" (punchs his secretary on the face, his head explodes)

"Hasta la vista... baby."

LOL!
reminds me of a McBain skit off of Simpsons...
