I’m sorry guys, but I really don’t get the love for Dr No and From Russia with Love. I liked Goldfinger though. Feel free to try and convince me otherwise.

- Ian McDiarmid’s performance as Palpatine was awesome, and the whole plotline of Palpatine as mastermind was the best part of the trilogy

I can’t believe I only got around to watching a Bond film earlier this year.
There are things I do like about the prequels, especially Revenge of the Sith, but they are sadly few and far between.
Hot Fuzz (2007) - A+
I had previously thought this the worst of the Cornetto trilogy, but upon re-watching it, I have found it to be the best. Not only is it extremely funny, but the story and characters are also fantastic. The direction and acting are also top notch.
I so don’t understand all the love Winter Soldier seems to have. It was one of the most awkwardly paced movies I’ve ever seen.
How so? It’s the only MCU film I consider to be worthy of an eight out of ten.

I want to see C-3PO, R2-D2, and BB-8 phased out almost entirely, serving as background characters with barely a line each. They’ve served their purpose.
I also want to see all the main characters contribute to killing Snoke.
And I would like to see Finn and Poe grow closer in Rey’s absence, going on mini buddy adventures.
Adaptation (2002) - B+
It was really, really good. Nic Cage had excellent chemistry with Nic Cage, and the writing and direction are top notch. Sadly, every time Nic Cage wasn’t on screen the movie dragged and I was just waiting to get to the next scene. I really enjoyed it despite this though,

I also watched two very different, very great Edgar Wright comedies.
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010) - A-
The characters were extremely fun and endearing, particularly Michael Cera as Scott, who, despite not being that great of a person, is easily likable. The villains were all hilariously hammy, my favourite being Satya Bhabha as Matthew Patel, whose one single scene is absolutely side-splitting. The script is witty and charming, with my only problem being the lack of personal moments between the characters. The fight scenes were also great and the film had a good soundtrack.
The World’s End (2013) - A
Once more, the characters in this film are well developed and likable, and the five main actors have terrific, hilarious chemistry with one-another. The twist around the middle is funny, and the action scene in the bathroom is one of the funniest fight scenes ever put to film. Unlike Scott Pilgrim, this film did have several touching moments, particularly a tense moment towards the end between Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. The film also has brilliant direction and a great ending.
Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol (2011) - B
The plot was convoluted, and the villain was underdeveloped and had a stupid plan, but the film was well directed and had excellent, fun characters. It was also relentlessly entertaining.

I just watched X-Men: Apocalypse and enjoyed it quite a bit. I thought the action was inventive and entertaining, particularly anything involving Quicksilver, whose beefed up role was one of the best things about the film. Erik and Charles were great as always, though both suffered from a lack of screentime. Just like with all the X-Men films, the scenes with Magneto were the best. It had numerous flaws, such as the extremely cliched villain, and some very poor pacing. Some of the CGI was also quite atrocious at times, with some obvious green screen and digital doubles. Overall I thought, while the film is far from perfect, it is a fun time to be had at the cinema, and I don’t regret seeing it. I’ll give it a six out of ten.
I was never pissed off by the fake computer thing. I just didn’t see the humour in it. The copycats are infuriated now though.
