Because of the editing, the story, the sets, the effects, wouldn’t have mattered if the edit hadn’t worked. The editors definitely deserved the Oscars they got for working on that film.

I must admit, it would still be pushing it for the legality if Anakin was 16, then Padme would be 21, so, in Australia at least, you can only have intercourse if you’re within 3 years age difference. If you’re under eighteen at least.

So I’m right in Australia.
