ARRGH! I bought a freaking Alienware computer on September 28th and STILL they didn't even START working on that freaking thing!! NOthing! It's October 10th and that's they're "ESTIMATED SHIP DATE" and they haven't even started WORKING on building the computer!!! This is horrible...
I'm just hating It!

I'm sorry... Did anybody else have any experience with that stupid Alienware company!?!

DVDs will also be ancient... HD will be a standard and maybe something even bigger will come out...

I'd really love to see a dino-documentary that vastly outmatches Walking with Dinosaurs though!

well my name came from the time before time on this forum.

originally back in 2001 I was making a bunch of no-budget star wars movies in my backyard
and my character was called "Darth Phillius"... and I liked it as a name so I used it on a few Star Wars olnine things...

but during 2003 I was thinking up names for my instant messenger and it hit me: Lord Phillock.
I like it and hope that no one will take it either...

All right… I’m going to embark on a quest… a quest to merge the special restored edition of Star Wars (with all the effects and stuff) with the Original Classic version (the 4:3 sappy quality DVD that they released) together to make a pretty fancy looking OT Star Wars for all of you to download (in anamorphic 16:9 of course)

I don’t know if anyone did this already… or if I’m allowed to say this… I believe I am so… I did…

I did a test to see if it works… and to me it blends seemlessly … I made a good quality version of the “Han-shoots-first” scene! Using the audio from the OOT and the image from the Special Edition while intercutting with the part where Greedo gets fried by Han in the Original version…

so, if anyone is for this idea of mine, I’d love to hear from it… and I would do it… anyone agree or what?

P.S. If you hate this idea… please just tell me and I won’t… sorry to be a bother…

well, he supposedly got "fired" by Peter Jackson on scoring King Kong and was replaced by James Newton Howard...

I don't know if there's any tension between them (because, hey, what do I know about these people besides professionally?)... but yeah... there's your answer.

no added words like "for" or "to"... only the ones that appear in the titles of the movies.

that does not include modifiying words (i.e. phantoms, revenger, ect.)

actually what I do... is I use Vegas 6 and DVDShrink...

I copy the DVD image to my drive... using DVD Shrink.... (but every chapter separate)

then, I drag my .vob movie into Vegas (it reads .vobs pretty much) and I crop it to be anamophic.... and stich together each chapter

after that... I simply render it to MPEG2 24p Widescreen and there you go!

mash up all the words (not including "the", "of", ect.) of all the start wars films... (separate PT and OT if you wish) and put them all together to a title that makes sense!

you're allowed to use different suffixes (like Revenger) but the word has to stay intact...

have fun mashing... and some titles cn be pretty funny!

Example: Star Wars: Revenge of the Attack-Phantom Empire Back-striker Jedi Returners!

yeah.... I call those "rip-me-off DVDs"...

but I will rent them to see the bonus material... edited JUST the way I like it... no music, no "we were big friends" crap, and no interviews... just footage... and that's the REAL making-of.... just that 1 hour and 47 minutes is too short.

I'd prefer 4 hours each documentary... but that's just my wishful thinking...

I also agree that King Kong was sooooo long! It dragged, yes.

I found the original to be an extended version in istelf!

...uhh yeah do that good cut when the DVD comes out, man!

I myself made a shortened 2 hour cut of King Kong... back when King Kong first came out on DVD!
