My goodness Bingo, I hope your hearing wasn't damaged by that infernal insect. That's one of my fears, to have a bug fly into my ear and not come out. I've recently had to deal with blood coming out me left ear, that was quite a scare. No more q-tips from now on, I swear!

I don't know what scares me the most, potentially losing my hearing or losing my sight.

Well, I'm using the latest one, the last time I tried was last week and it did work. Did you try the filter on another file? If it doesn't crash, that may mean Cartoon Restore doesn't like that one file you're trying to restore for some reason (compression, colorspace etc).

You could try disabling any other filters in the chain, if you're using more. That's another way to check what's causing the program to crash.

I have, and I gotta say, when Vdub doesn't crash and with the right settings, it gives brilliant results.

I don't know what causes the program to crash though. Try to change any setting you can think of that might cause it (frame size, fps, colorspace...)

I think they changed Eric's voice because it was a strain on Trey Parker's vocal cords. But I think the character didn't suffer for it.
