I just played the greatest prank on my mother. Back when Pope Benedict XVI was elected I had DVDR'd it. My mother was in the kitchen doing the dishes. I put the dvd on in the living room and called "Mom! The new Pope! They're announcing him!"
She sprinted in front of the tv and bought it hook, line and sinker. I had a really hard time holding back the laughter. At one point I even had to say I had something in my throat to cover up my snickering. Meanwhile my dad was doing the "gullible" gesture behind her.
She was saying "we didn't even see the smoke!"
Then the part came
" Annuntio vobis gaudium magnum:
Habemus Papam;
Eminentissimum ac reverendissimum Dominum,
Dominum Josephum"

At which point she looked at me and saw me explode in laughter
"You jerk!! I thought I saw you snickering!!"

Imma tell you, I almost pissed my pants...

So you are saying that you know God doesn't exist.  That seems like a rather arrogant thing to say.

So what?

Ok, picture this: in your system of beliefs, I am wrong. Now, just assume, for the sake of argument, that I was right. Would I be arrogant then? Or would I be just right? Please define arrogant for me, maybe I don't fully understand what the word means.

Arrogant would mean you are over exaggerating your own abilities or self importance.

Then I'm not sure arrogant would be the right word, for one reason: where the individual is concerned, the thruth is his own, and nothing else. It is self-importance, cause we're talking about the self here. Let's say you, CP3S, perceive the world to be made of jam (or jelly). Even if everybody else says it's not, for all you're concerned the world is made of jam, because that is how you perceive it. It's all inside our minds. That's where it matters.
So there is no arrogance.

I know my command of english is not perfect, so I hope I'm making sense here.

Look closely. I put the verb "believe" in italics.

As Frink said, belief and knowledge are two different things. I don't believe there is no God, but then again I don't believe the Earth goes around the Sun. I know the Earth goes around the sun.

But if you know the Earth goes around the sun, you must also believe it goes around the sun.

No, I don't. I know it. Period. One excludes the other.

So you are saying that you know God doesn't exist.  That seems like a rather arrogant thing to say.

In my personal view of the world I exclude any metaphysics, therefore there is no God.

I wouldn't call that 'knowing God doesn't exist',  I'd call that 'assuming God doesn't exist'.

Again, I don't assume anything. As I said earlier "a theist's view of the universe puts metaphysics first, as a given, and then everything else should follow". That's what you do.
You are certain that a metaphysic reality exists. That's your postulate.

I, on the other hand, exclude that anything that doesn't belong in the physical world can possibly exist. Everything is physical. Nothing is metaphysical. That's my postulate.

See, this is subjective. That's why we all have different point of views, because the value we attribute to words is not always the same. In my personal view of the world I exclude any metaphysics, therefore there is no God. Anybody else's view of the world, none of my business. It is their view, not mine.

The thing about a theist's view of the universe is that it puts metaphysics first, as a given, and then everything else should follow. That's why I understand it is hard to picture the point of view of a person like me. It's topsy turvy.

Look at Daffy here:

http://youtu.be/tL6LAl1JfJI?t=5m6s

Daffy: Now what?!

Daffy: What are you doing down there?

Daffy: Down here? What are you doing up there? (to audience) Down here...!

Which one's up? Which one's down?

So, for the non-believers, do you truly 100% accept/believe/swear as fact that your ancestors were ape creatures? Why or why not?
As an atheist, I don't believe anything. I understand how the theory works, though, and I accept it for the same reason.
Now, the thing about it is, IMHO, that it gets oversimplified too much, in everyday conversation. For example, you said "our ancestors were ape creatures"; I would say yes to that, but not quite. I'm sure you wrote it like that for brevity. To elaborate on it, at a certain point in time there was a species of primates, and from that two branches originated: one became what we call now apes, chimps and monkeys, and the other became, after many stages, Homo Sapiens Sapiens.
Another thing about evolution is that it's a sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow process. Imagine the vastness of space. Apply that to time. Our civilization is but a minuscule speck in the corner of time's eye. There are trees -still living, mind you- older than many of our ancient civilizations:

HAPPY 10TH ANNIVERSARY OT.COM!!!!!!!!!!!!!(was: When is/was the OT.com 10th anniversary?)
Time

Happy 10th, Ot.com! I've been here for four years and I've learned many many things about Star Wars, about movies, about preservation, about everything. I cannot but agree with SS4DarthPayne, this place is what it is because of the preservations and the community, the people who are able to make it happen, preservationists and regulars, who often brighten my day with a laugh.

So to them, to all the nice people, the mods and admins, the butchers, the bakers, the candlestick-makers, thank you.

Also I'm not sure how I will be able to get rid of all those damn coughs...

Leave them in, and everytime he coughs you put in a little animation in the corner like this:

make it a drinking game.

I want to remove the coughs because they won't match whatever voice i end up using.

Sorry, it's just that I'm awfully thirsty.

You'd think it would work, but here's my argument against it. Not that I don't love the idea.
IMHO It's really difficult to "tune out" the other language, be it verbal or non verbal. I've tried to and it's really confusing to me, trying to listen to whatever I have on headphones in english, while in some other room the tv is blasting at full volume in italian.
