Besides, there is something wrong with the compression, because the pans are really weird.

Where exactly did you see those problems? The only thing I can think of right now are the crane-shots in the outdoor scenes, because for those we had to use an (inferior) HDV cam.

You might want to download the full-quality MKV (you can find the link in the video description) to check if the problem is still there.

Info: Sky Star Wars coming to Germany .....
Time

A little heads up, since the channel is now live:

SW is the 2004 version, while TESB and ROTJ are the Blu-ray versions. All in 1080p.

Are there any quick ways to identify which versions of the PT movies are shown?

I'll try to get my colleague to record "Empire of Dreams" on the weekend. For starters it's the 151 minute version (at PAL speed), not the shortened version. Here's hoping it's in HD without burnt in subs.

What? Those are miniatures you can buy in a store for a tabletop game.

I'm pretty sure he's referring to the Nebulon B Frigate, which is custom made. But you're right, the rest of the ships are official releases, which only confirms the quality of the frigate, since it doesn't stick out as fan made.

Episode VII: The Force Awakens - Discussion * SPOILER THREAD *

I don't mind it except... Why not "The Force Awakened"... Such a small change, same basic meaning, but sounds like 10x cooler...

Because the meaning would actually be different. "Awakens" suggests that the movie actually shows the beginning and the process of the "awakening", wheras "Awakened" suggests it's already awake.

Here's an important question: Are there any HDMI-capable cappers located in Germany who plan to take this on?

More like Dreambox-capable capper ;) Yeah, my colleague will probably be able to cap this stuff for me.

But what exactly do you expect? The movies themselves will most likely just be the Blu-ray versions anyway.

Download of 2.5 isn't finished yet but I noticed a comment on the 1st post, that the german dub is out of sync and that there is a correct version of it somewhere but I can't find any link.

If you're looking for a complete German version, you might as well download this: http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/topic.cfm/Krieg-der-Sterne-Despecialized-Edition-25-German/topic/15914/
