Teaser & trailer got me pumped as well.

But the more often I watched the full length trailer the more I asked myself

Back then, 98-99 EVERYTHING to me was about SW. At school, at home, on tv, the interwebs, etc.

Then a huge disappointment.

Same in 2001-2 and 2004-5, but less hype every time.

Over all, I think I'm more disappointed at what they ended up being. Angry at a huge missed opportunity, or 3. And sad in how many bad and profound ways they changed the story of the OT.

I do try to ignore them as best I can, but I can't help it but - THE SECOND Darth Vader enters the Tantive IV for the first time - think back and see a little annoying boy, whining teenager and plain stupid, insecure man behind the helmet and NOT the Darth Vader I grew up with.

THAT I cannot forgive.

So, I guess I do hate them, LOL! Honestly didn't think I did when I started typing this. whoa.

What good did the PT serve to the OT, honestly? Probably the Obi Wan character, but nothing else. The rest, all of the rest is just for the worse in OT terms IMO.

Especially the binocular & Anchorhead Luke scenes shouldn´t ever, NEVER ever, be included into STAR WARS.

It messes the structure up badly, Luke acts like a douche, and it doesn´t work as character introduction.

Jim Ward: it’s hardly a controversy. We sold over $100 million in one day of this DVD around the world, so I don’t think anybody’s too upset about it. And any changes that George made, they might be controversial to about 5 people.

yes, it´s easy to spot, but strangely enough I prefer the more grainy (real-movie look) to the video game cutscenes :-)

I think the new ending works exceptionally well.

Personally I think the music fits, it has some eerie undertones which suit the uncertain fate of both Padfme & the galaxy as a whole.

Last couple of weeks I´ve beeny posting on imdb.

It´s tough, but at least there the amount of people who get it and those guys and gals who think the PT movies are masterpieces is somewhat balanced.

I watched the DVD9 version till the rebels arrive at Endor.

Will continue soon.

I can´t speak in technical terms but this is a great achievement.

I was so happy to see Lapti Nek restored properly.

It´s kinda strange but still a billion times better than the god-awful Jedi Rocks and personally I always liked that funky bassline :-)

I have to re-check but the only two glitches I found so far are

.) In the opening sequence when the shuttle moves away from the Star Destroyer the picture halted twice for a split second

.)Establishing shot of Sail Barge and the already mentioned shot with Jabba & Leia on said vehicle have a massive drop in picture quality

As already mentioned I´ll have to recheck the first glitch + I´ll send exact time signatures

I ´checked a couple of EIII edits and JasonN´s is by far the best.

I doesn´t make it a good movie (still has tons of awful dialogue and bad acting) but far more bearable.

God, I despise April Fools jokes.
