I've seen it and I can't wait to own my own copy. [sic]
Within the first few minutes it felt really polished and some of the jokes had me laughing pretty hard. I wont say which for those that haven't seen yet but there were some great moments. I've got one concern to do with the storyline but for spoiler reasons I wont say yet either.
I really hope this is a way to get futurama into full time production again, I always loved this show more than other sitcoms. I'd encourage everyone to go out and get a copy, If you are a fan of the series you WONT be disappointed.
oh, and Bender writes his email address as bender@ilovebender.com - it turns out its a promotional site for the movie release [www.ilovebender.com]
I'm not a die hard LOTR fan and even I really want to see this. Be assured there is interest for this thing. If I knew you felt that way I would have spoken up sooner. I've shown your clips to at least one offline friend who was also quite interested in what you are planning.
Okay I was strolling through a local bookstore [Angus and Robertson] and saw they have two copies of the Vault instore. The pricetag was $109 AUD which feels a bit steep, Although it's a fairy hefty looking tome. They were wrapped in plastic so I'm wondering if anyone who's checked them out feels this is a worthwhile price for the content contained within.
This versions includes 2 audio cd's and is in a sort of fancy cover.
Yeah, you are right. But I love it just the same. I actually saw the movie first [knowing nothing about it beforehand] then backtracked to the series proper. I'd only seen vague glimpses prior.
I came to the series post cancellation and i love it now but I'm afraid I probably wouldn't have given it much a chance when it was 'fresh'. It really is a shame because you get a sense watching that last episode that things are really starting to go somewhere new, Especially with River. But then if it had gone on we probably wouldn't have 'Serenity' Which I also love.
I always think of Firefly when I play halo 3 now, In particularly there was an Adam Baldwin line in there [as a marine] that echoed Serenity ["It sure would be nice if we had some grenades, Doncha think?"] that had me grinning from ear to ear.
wow, they really are going all out on the packaging. I too found the episode a bit flat and would be hard pressed to buy it. If they were to include a montage of all the star wars parody clips to date and some other extra content i might reconsider. It all just seems a bit much for a two part episode - I mean wont this show up as part of the season box set proper anyway?

the thing that really pisses me off though is all the releases with mpeg-2 crap which is what caused artefacting on dvd to begin with.
VC-1 and avc titles are much better looking.
24 frames per second playback is also a must so blu ray wins again.
The thing that really pisses ME off is people making comments like that. There's enough confusion for the average consumer already with 2 rival formats.
