Lucas screwed up too much this time. I'm glad I'll always have these Blu's and ady's Revisited project to show to my children, because this is an utter mess.

If it weren't for the buttload of extras, I wouldn't have ordered the Saga version either.

 There does not seem to be a buttload of extras..how can you have a set like that and not include "From Star Wars to Jedi" or "Empire of Dreams"....and we have all seen most of these deleted scenes years ago....the biggs thing was shown a long long time ago and Luke Building the Light Saber is already out there....

Umm yeah guys....why was aI banned again? Seems like almost everyone is coming around to what I was saying all along.

I just got through watching DJ's Star Wars and ESB BD's. First I must say that these (along with Harmy's) PQ wise are the best these original films have ever looked on home media (That I have seen and I have not seen them all) I do belieive that the picture quality was a tad better on the SW disc. There were a few places on Empire where it looked "soft" and then there was a fair amount of grain noticeable in the sky scenes on hoth. That is not always a bad thing though as I would rather see grain than a wax look.

The real treat with these BD's is the sound options. Now I have not had time to try them all out, only the 5.1 and the isolated score (which is awesome by the way) I hope in the future I will have time to play with them a little more. Another nice feature is the Menu screen, I just love looking at all the old poster art for these flms while the soundtrack is playing. There is a special treat(extra) on the ESB disc that I have not watched yet(I believe Whaleman mentioned it). I hope to fiddle around more with these two before I go on to Jedi.

Dark Jedi you have done a wondeful job and really brought my childhood back to me again and for that I can not thank you enough. These editions will be my standard until someone finally releases the UOT in 1080p. This set will be displayed on my bookshelf with all of my other Blu Rays but these will be the focal point of the collection. So once again, thank you for all your hard work and dedication to this wonderful project.

Well not it's on to Jedi and then I will let you know how that one fared on my television. I am sure it's going to be great!

A great job on all you hae done with the films and the covers. You really knocked it out of the park. I also had a great time reviewing the ROTJ work print.

It is September for me and I will spend the rest of the next few nights drinking plenty of beer and watching Project Blu on my 60 inch. As promised I will provide a review after each film (shhh it wil have to be from work though) as I will be too drunk to write afterwards........again TY for my early September. You rock my man!!!!

I would take anything that Hunt or anyone over at the digital bits has said with a grain of salt.....these are the same guys that thought the Patton release was wonderful and when i called them on it the review just seemed to dissappear from the site.

It's funny I have been banned over there for almost 3 weeks now and for doing nothing. Did not start a fight or anything! But at least I took Mace Windu and Shelldweller with me on this 3 week suspension so you all dont have to deal with them. :)

The problem with that is two fold. It was the most climatic scene in the first film and also Obi Wan is in the eye lenses. When I look at these covers what I see is that "they" are looking at. I think they are perfect. I do think the spine is a little crowded with the Despecialized edition on it as the top front has that already. But other than that I think they are the most original Star Wars covers I have ever seen.

I finished watching the workprint a second time. The only things I found were the following:

@ 10.55 In Jabba's droid torture room right behind C3P0 You see a machine going up and down which is blurred (maybe from motion) but the wall to the right of the machine also looks blurred or rubbed.

@ 11:07 Same scene the wall behind and above a Gamorrean Guard the wall looks blurred/rubbed.

@ 56:18 The Speederbike scene Lukes face really pixelizes for a brief second.

That's it, I could not find anything else that stuck out to me.

ok I watched it once and will watch it again tomorrw to see if I can find anything else.

It looks amazing (not the quality because its compressed right now) but just the overall job you have done.

1. @ 1:25:38 you can see matte lines around the death star (left and top of death star) it really shows against black space; i am sure this is the actual film though, not sure you can do anything about that.

2. 1:29:36 You can see matte lines (box) around death star when its very small; the fleet has just come out of hyperspace and Lando is looking at the Death Star. Again I am sure this was how it looked back in the day not sure if you can fix or want to.

3. @ 1:29:40 Matte Lines around Death Star as akbar is looking at it...same as above.

4. This is the only thing I found that is really noticable. 2:01:09 there is either a missing frame or one too many as it stutters when Luke and Leia are walking away as Luke as looking at the ghosts.

I will watch it again my friend and see if there is anything at all I didnt catch the first time. I think you are doing a wonderful job and there are a lot of us that are most grateful!
