I’m concerned with the tone and direction of the forum as a whole. All communities change over time as members come and go, but I don’t like the way people are speaking to one another, treating new members, and letting personal disagreements that start in Off Topic bleed into the rest of the forum.
I spoke privately with some members about the situation. I apologize for any resulting confusion if you weren’t in that group. Please stop fighting with each other. Don’t attack other members, insult them, or accuse them of things you can’t prove. If someone attacks you, please report it to a moderator (a PM including SilverWook, Anchorhead, Moth3r, and me will do). Do not respond in kind. Don’t act as a moderator if you see something you don’t like; report it if necessary.
The mods are discussing the overall forum situation and what to do about it. There will likely be some changes soon. Please be civil in the meantime.

Jay was public about wanting this particular nonsense between us to stop. It is not top secret. I approached it politely and honestly. I would approach anyone trying to antagonize you or I the same way. I broke no rules by doing so.

As far as I know, the prequels were never mixed into matrix DTS. TPM was the premiere movie for Dolby EX matrix and DTS later premiered their ES variant.
I don’t think the discrete ES version was ever used theatrically, as it was primarily designed for home video. Neither system really took off and became more of a marketing gimmick for video. Then THX discovered a flaw that caused the ear to miscue sound and necessitated the reconfiguration into 7.1.I’ve tried the prequels in the various decoders and they work fine. The OT being 6.1 is evidence of how lazy they are. The awful DVD mixes were in DD EX and then these were decoded back to 6.1 at the source before being further bastardized.
But AOTC had the DTS-ES logo on the end credits.
And apparently, some of the Studio Ghibli films like Spirited Away were DTS-ES 6.1 in the theatrical release.
And the reason why some of these Ghibli films are 6.1 is because they were theatrically presented in 6.1 and Studio Ghibli usually frowns upon remixing audio for surround and will always use the theatrical audio, even if it’s mono or Dolby Stereo. But they are still generous enough to give lossless audio, though.
Also, Spirited Away has one of the best 6.1 mixes ever, probable even beating the Star Wars movies.

The medicine does seem, at least tentatively, to be helping somewhat. I’m still on edge sometimes, and frankly, I’d like to increase the dosage, but after three weeks or so, it seems to have started taking some effect. I could still feel a lot better, and still think that getting back to where I should be isn’t possible, but I’m glad for small victories, anyway.
Give it some time. A couple of months at least would be best to see if you need adjustment. I am glad to know you are feeling better because it is the start of a new journey for you.

The SE cinema DTS files can be found on usenet. As for decoding them properly, we already have had some knowledgeable people do this while taking home video audtio vs. theater video audio in to consideration.
It is not a perfect science but one probably far easier to deal with than the actual release color timing of the films.

Hello can someone know where to watch Star Wars
You can watch it at home or take your retail/digital Star Wars purchases on the road with a laptop. If your TV fits in your bathroom you can watch your retail material while taking a bath.
The sky is the limit with technology. I hope this helps.

To me, Star Trek was always a vision, it was never just a series or a movie. All Star Trek is enjoyable to me on some level, some more than others, but it is the message and the ideals inhabited by each incarnation that keeps me a fan.
I am glad to see you are feeling better Possessed. I hope that means your recovery is going well. I’m sure all the positive support and kind words you received here and elsewhere has helped immensely through such a difficult time. Stay well sir, you have support here when you need it.

I’m glad you felt it was a nice thing to say. As a Veteran myself I find this comparison to be in very poor taste. This alone is reason enough for one to consider leaving Frink’s off topic.
