It’s sad that they are still claiming this as the up-ender for her. She was already on the slide back down the ladder. Her main issue aside from all the lies was that she could not relate to the average American. Those average American’s didn’t need the Comey letter to influence their decision. They put the “status quo” on notice long before the campaigning started, but they chose not to listen to the average American voice. 1.2 Billion dollars and a loss was a fate they created for themselves.

Are you sure that you are “qualified” to pass judgement on Hillary’s successes/failures as a Presidential candidate? It’s just that I thought you’d established a couple of pages back that one needed to have done the same job to an equal (or greater) level, to be allowed to form an opinion?

Nothing I wrote, that you responded to, is judgement or opinion. All of that information is readily available. Read the book that I suggested to Frink.

I guess I remember Jay saying something about not accusing people of being socks without actual proof in open forum … that they were supposed to just report it or something.

I could be wrong I guess. Then again, I might just be too dumb to realize he was being humorous about the whole thing, since I don’t know funny when I read it and all that nonsense.

You can pooh pooh me all you like, it doesn’t change anything. Not that you’ll admit to it being any different than you see it but hey, Wisconsin hasn’t voted Republican since Ronald Reagan in 1984 so if that doesn’t tell you anything, nothing will.

Do a little reading.

This is another case of manufactured twitter outrage. Trumpy minions playing the homophobia card is both funny and sad.

Actually, it’s liberals and conservatives …

Liberals and conservatives alike are agreeing that Stephen Colbert should be fired by CBS, but not necessarily for the same reasons.

While some outraged viewers are calling for Colbert’s termination over a comment about President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin that they view as homophobic, conservatives appear to simply want him gone for his politics and frequent, sharp criticism of Trump.

Colbert made the controversial insult during Monday’s passionate “Late Show” monologue, which went viral online. In it, he stood up for CBS reporter John Dickerson, whose interview with Trump was cut short by the president, who was being repeatedly questioned about his allegations that President Barack Obama had ordered the wiretapping of Trump Tower during the campaign.

“Sir, you attract more skinheads than free Rogaine,” Colbert said during the rant. “You have more people marching against you than cancer. You talk like a sign-language gorilla who got hit in the head. In fact, the only thing your mouth is good for is being Vladimir Putin’s c–k holster.”

The last, sexually charged barb seems to be the one for which Colbert is taking the heat.

If Trump said this about Colbert people would be openly calling for his death. Can’t have your cake and eat it too.

Can people be nice to alderaan in my thread please? I feel like he’s picked on too much on this site, it was kinda funny initially, but at this point it’s really annoying.

I second this request robertelee. You are going to see however that you’re kind request ultimately falls on deaf ears here. Unless a mod takes issue with it the behavior will continue. For some of us it gets old quick but some thrive on the annoyance it brings to others.

I am an ellipsoid.

We’ve already had this conversation in this thread once. (Not involving you admittedly) nobody attacked alderaan. Alderaan accused frink of ruining the thread, then he hit us with that hilarious posse joke when I explained that he wasn’t ruining the thread because it was already ruined, being a duplicate and all.

I read all of that. Since he’s kinda new I figured it couldn’t hurt to let him know that asking for such things here is a bigger expectation than he may know.

And yeah, this thread went to pot from the get go. Some last longer but the odds of most getting soiled is fairly high.

The Place to Go for Emotional Support

Mike O said:

Doctor raised up the Abilify. My mother is more than a little concerned about Lemnos taking three different psychotropic drugs. He told me I can take more of the Klonopin, but frankly, it’s a Benzedrine, and I’m a little scared to. I’ve heard lots of addiction horror stories. I’m still on the Prozac as usual. Part of me just keeps saying “give me more until I feel better,” but part of me is scared that I’m too reliant on them or have too much faith (heh) in them. My dad just approached me, saying he’s sad to see me so miserable and my mother is deeply concerned about the drugs. The doctor is an odd guy, but he’s a professional MD, and my dad’s trusted him for longer than I’ve been alive. I’m just scared. My dad just sat down and said it hurts him so much to see me so miserable and mother is deeply worried about the medications. I hate hurting them almost more than I hate how much I hurt.

I hope I don’t monopolize this thread. God knows, there are other people here with problems.

A few things to consider … you haven’t been on the medication long enough to be life reliant on them. Maybe consider having your parents go with you to the doctor once. Maybe them knowing a bit more about why you’re being medically treated as you are will help them better understand and may be even bring them a little closer to you. It might bring them in to the fold to help you as they can. It is not your fault so you shouldn’t beat yourself up, it is counterproductive to your healing and future well being. Take it slow, stay steady, and be honest. Much support to you.

😃

Change isn’t always good.

Change is what we make of it not what is given to us.

“Au contraire! It’s the human future which intrigues us, and should concern you most. You see, of all species, yours cannot abide stagnation. Change is at the heart of what you are. But change into what? That’s the question.”

“The whole thing goes: ‘The future’s not set. There’s no fate but what we make for ourselves.’”

That was not even on my mind when I typed it, lol. But let’s look at it some. The fact is, if it intrigues us all, then why are only some of us trying to help get more positive change while others pooh pooh it all? Future change concerns me greatly, does it concern you? It should. It should concern all of us. Hell, we can’t even get that kind of hope in this thread, because emotion outweighs everything else.

I want to see America and the world prosper but it won’t happen until the world is on the same page. Can you make that happen in 100 days? Trump can’t and he knows it. If people are laying that expectation clearly at his feet as a challenge then they better be able to do it too, otherwise they become part of the bigger problem the world has against fixing things for everyone.

*Your after-edit clearly noted.

As for Trump, he is as qualified as any political chump need be to run for President, it was the Democratic Party and the Status Quo that got him elected. Americans have long been tired of the “status quo” in all corners of the United States. Americans want the chance to live instead of just survive paycheck to paycheck.

And that is why I say I can see why people voted for him or hated Hillary. The problem, Jetrell, is that Trump is “not the [president] they’re looking for.” He’s not the status quo, clearly, but he will not save them from these problems. Trump only ever cared about himself, his ego, and his own financial gain. Trump is not going to fix this country. He doesn’t even care enough about it not to go golfing in Florida every weekend.

This is your opinion, and I respect that, but those American’s wanted change and they knew he could give it to them regardless of whether or not he got everything done in the first 100 days.

It’s not about whether he’s done it yet that’s the issue. The issue is whether the change he makes is good for the country or even good for his voters’ well-being, and I think that it is not, because I don’t believe he understands, cares, nor cares to understand. He says he cares, but I believe it to be posturing, pure and simple.

Also, hopeful belief that the change he makes will directly be good for the country, that is optimism. Discounting any evidence that disputes that belief, and defaming or name-calling those who agree with it, is not.

And again, Jetrell, who exactly were referring to when you said “Russia lovers and Satan-driven p^&$y grabbing baby killers”?

I admit the baby killer (and it had nothing to do with Vietnam) thing was too much. It was not a personally directed insult if that’s what you’re trying to tag me for, it was a general one for those who refer to Trump as a “p*&%y grabber” when they’re trying to make an argument against anything Trump does.

I’m not qualified to direct a movie but I sure as hell know that George Lucas has no fucking clue how to direct actors. Your argument is ridiculous.

Besides if it follows that you have to be qualified for the Presidency before claiming someone else is unqualified for it, it therefore follows that you’d have to be qualified for the Presidency before claiming that someone else is qualified for it.

Is anyone in this thread that wants to claim they are qualified for the Presidency(and can offer proof to back up the claim)?

This is exactly why I said it. The complaints have nothing to do with qualification and everything to do with emotion. I am sure there might actually be one of us here that could hit the political trail and do well, maybe even become president, but like the golden rule of parenthood states … there is NO manual for being a parent and there is no manual for being one’s own president.
