Something that should have been done for ep3 to fix the plot error in A New Hope.

The Emperor gave Tarkin to be the head of the officers to be in charge of things and such.

No LOL, i mean who was the original character of the emperor, was he a creature, a beast, a man etc?

I checked the databank of starwars.com for an answer and here what i found.......

"Early drafts scripts of A New Hope identified the Emperor as "Cos Dashit", who ruled from the Imperial Throneworld of Alderaan.

When writing Empire & Hope, Ralph McQuarie made the "Cos Dashit" artwork and concept art. "Cos Dashit" originally was a sort of beast who lived in Alderaan then later when A New Hope's script was finalised was to be living in the Imperial City aka Coruscant.....

Who was the original emperor, and why the hell did we not see the Emperor mentioned in the "Characters of Star Wars" featurette on the DVD?
