Looks great! Looking forward to this.

On a side note, have you considered doing a similar project for "Raiders of the Lost Ark: The Movie On Record"? It was a unique listening experience because there was no narrator. Were you to tackle that recording, it would amount to a truncated version of the currently available DVD, but it could be interesting. Just a thought.

I was watching your new final battle clip and when red squadron are approaching the death star, there are inconsistencies between the background stars and when you look out the front windows looking at the death star.
forwards, the stars barely move because everyone is heading straight at the death star.
when we look back at the pilots, the stars are moving right to left diagonally quite a bit. so it creates a bit of inconsistency.
I had the stars moving in that fashion because i was originally going to have Death Star further around Yavin so they would have to be turning around the planet to reach it. But i just couldn't pull it off (did one last attempt after i posted the clip) so the stars in the clip move faster than they would do if they were heading straight. I've now redone the stars and they move hell of a lot slower now.

Adywan,
Just screened Star Wars last night to kinda sorta celebrate 30 years and I noticed that not only are the microphones supposed to be on the left side of the pilots' helmets, but the mic wire should also be on the left side. Any way you can further tweak the flipped Red leader shot to deal with this issue?

Thanks for spotting that one. It's been fixed and the wire is now on the correct side.

Great work, Ady, as per usual. Any thoughts on my earlier post concerning inserting Yavin in all of the pilots' rear windows?

Adywan,

Great work as usual. One thing that you might consider and that is adding Yavin to all of the interior cockpit shots. Each pilot is flying towards the Death Star and presumably Yavin should be seen in everyone's cockpit. Just a minor nit for consistency's sake. Otherwise, you continue to amaze and impress.

It's actually like that before Luke screams "NO." Check out the background of the bay with the stormtroopers, when the heroes run toward the Falcon, and beyond. I'm not sure the glow/blur is supposed to really show up in what is essentially a background plate where the foreground characters/action are what is in focus. Maybe I'm wrong.

Adywan,

Great work! Will you be making this available in NTSC as well as PAL? If so, a copy needs to be sent to ILM from an anonymous source with a note that says something to the effect of "You all suck!" Maybe not...

I understand why the new music seems jarring, but in the context of the entire saga, that piece of music is an interesting and entirely appropriate choice for the duel. Will you be inserting other music from the prequels into ANH? What about when you get around to ESB and ROTJ?

I wouldn't touch the Leia hologram. I always thought that the lip synch problem was intentional on the part of Artoo. He's got a directive to find Obi-Wan and play this message for him alone. OK, Luke's randomly managed to turn the message on, so Artoo deliberately de-synchs the audio from the video in order to convince everyone that it really is a malfunction, old data, and that Luke really should pay it no mind. I think it's fine as is.

Adywan,

I don't really care for what you've done with the Tantive in this clip. The ship losing control looks skewed somehow and the explosion doesn't look right. I'm sure it's part of the work in progress, but some of your other clips have been better. Not that I could even begin to do an edit... Just my own observation.

Agreed. And such contrivances tend to make me feel manipulated.

Except that a mini-hyperspace run would put all those vehicles way out of the Yavin system. I'm not saying it wouldn't be cool, just not logical. But Lucas loves cool, illogical things when it comes to the Death Star 'splosions. Like the shock waves: Wouldn't Yavin IV & the Sanctuary Moon of Endor be catostrophically affected due to the destruction of an orbiting satelite the size of a small moon? For this reason alone, I really really really really really don't like the shock waves. They take me out of the movie.

4 DVD-Rs and still nothing. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. The files that are in the torrents folder are:

The Story of Star Wars by MoveAlong (IMG File)
The Story of Star Wars by MoveAlong (SFV File)
The Story of Star Wars by MoveAlong (MSInfo Document)
A file folder named "Windows Burn" that contains SetupDVDDecrypter_3.5.4.0.exe and SetupImgBurn_1.3.0.0.exe

What I did was run both .exe files, so I have both apps installed on the computer. I then opened the IMG File using IMGBurn. This went through the burn process successfully. But when I attempt to play the DVD, the computer won't play it. It doesn't show up in "My Computer" even though the DVD is loaded in the drive. Have I missed something? I'm pretty frustrated.

Does anyone have a copy that they wouldn't mind PIFing me?

I think its better but the end needs a little work. Any ideas are always welcome

I'd change "While the rebel fleet is regrouping to form a GREAT REBEL FLEET" to:
"While the scattered remnants of the Alliance are regrouping to form a GREAT REBEL FLEET."

Also "homeplanet" should be two words.

"Its" should be changed to the contration "It's," or better yet, split up the contraction to "It is."

Maybe the last bit could read:

"It is a perilous time for the remaining freedom fighters
struggling to restore peace and justice to the galaxy,
as the Empire prepares the ultimate weapon for the final
battle..."

EDIT: Here's my version of your crawl:

The rebellion is doomed. The GALACTIC EMPIRE is nearing
completion of the construction of a new armored space station,
even more powerful then the first dreaded DEATH STAR.

While the scattered remnants of the Alliance are regrouping
to form a GREAT REBEL FLEET, Luke Skywalker, the last of
the JEDI KNIGHTS, is returning to his home planet of
