What do you look like?

I don't have to use those specific phrases to be in college, that's a bit naive of you

There are other ways to be smart.
EDIT: It sure isn't

Now, that's extreme, but that's where my mindset was. If you really want to know what I look like, ask. I'm not posting my picture here.

Lol, that's not actually me.

But if you want I'll edit it and post a pic of myself (when I figure out how....)

Or are you referring to this entire thread as being not a good idea?

And everyone else here? Well I didn't mean all (or any) of us.

Mostly I meant the people who don't care about who is elected president, whether we go to war or not, etc. And the sheep part? Well see Fight Club if you haven't. The sheep Brad Pitt mentioned a few times? That's the kind of sheep I'm talking about.

EDIT: Oh, I forgot about the cowardly part. Well, I don't want to offend anyone here... But since this is an "opinion only" thread I'll say it--The president is a coward.

Violence VS. Non-Violence ~~~ Debate
Time
My point was that his main 'life's work' eventually concluded with him dying for our sins. And maybe I'm wrong (because I'm no expert), but I think a major reason he is so universally loved and worshipped is because of this sacrafice.

It makes sense to celebrate his 'life' rather than why he died for us though..... so I understand the 'tenet'.

EDIT: Does anyone else see this Ad at the bottom? LOL good timing.

I think that was also covered in the book, Lamb.

Jesus did NOT believe in justice; to him everyone deserved to be forgiven for EVERYTHING no matter what. When they crucified him, he didn't fight in self-defense because he felt that violence couldn't be justified even by that. So, my point is follows....

Jesus didn't fight back because he was giving his life as a sacrifice for the sins of man, not because he was a pacifist. Remember the Bible also says that he made a whip and drove greedy money changers out of the Temple Mound.

Ok, well I'm not a reliable source so I stand corrected.

Killing someone in self-defense isn't moral by my standards.

Sure, you say that now, Jag. I wonder if you'd change your mind if someone was running at you with a machette and your only hope was to shoot him.

Absolutely not.

Killing *anyone* for whatever reason isn't moral--ever.

Bollocks. It is not immoral to kill in the defense of self or others, especially those who can't defend themselves. There is such a thing as a just war.

Well I don't believe so, but that's opinion.

You're not commiting evil by fighting for what is good and decent!

You don't have to FIGHT in order to fight for what is good and decent.

Now THAT'S justification.

*whisper* Hint, hint, Jag... It's not His death we celebrate on Easter, dude. You're three days too early!

Wtf are you talking about? I don't understand what you're saying, I'm not referring to Easter at all. I'm referring to the religion of Christianity!
