I just updated the vimeo clip!

well it is still running, but it was acting funny. i recently installed a new hdd that was given to me so it might just be the drive. everything should pan out. no worries

So now that this is just a free for all, how about them gas prices...

unfortunately i have also been having trouble with my computer and i am worried one of the hdd is corrupted/failing. i rendered a few of the videos and it seemed as though everything worked out okay but when i went to check them my computer started to hang up on me. i am really running on a less than ideal system anyway. i just dont have the cash to get anything better. i will be backing up all of the project files to an external drive so i don't lose anything tonight and hopefully get the first batch of finished videos to you then HAL

sorry its taking so long HAL. i really did intend for it to be done already. i've just had a lot going on. i have been working on it in my free time, which has been very little.

ive watched bits of this version, i really like the padme lives scene.

i LOVE the Qui Gon voice. the only thing i would change is lower the volume a bit and maybe add a bit of echo to it to give it that OT Obiwan feel. just a thought.

First off, I dont know why anyone would dignify this "Mr Ghostface" guy with a reply. In my humble opinion I think from now on comments like that should just be ignored. He doesnt at all deserve the attention he is looking for or getting here. It really just sounds like he is mad it isnt released yet. But had he actually read any of this forum, he would understand that for a while Ady was taking care of his aged parents, which is pretty insensitive.

Secondly, thanks for the new clip Ady. It was enjoyable.

If you could do that scene in HD, it would be a huge service to future edits. Those other Jedi are totally useless! Could you do that with original purple sabre too, please?

You are facing a mountain of work though, I think. I have tried to play around with that scene and rotoing mace out of the same colored robes in the background is a nightmare to get looking right. Maybe you have more rotoscoping skills than me though.

 It is definitely a challenge and will probably be a WIP for a little while. But I think I can pull it off. If I end up completing it I will include both blue and purple lightsaber versions. It will be in HD as well.

I am really looking forward to this project. I was thinking about doing something similar. 1 movie for each trilogy. it sounds like it's coming along nicely.

So I know that this post hasnt been updated, but it looked as thought this was an actual project that was kind of moving forward. Is anyone still working on this, because i love a lot of angels mock up and would be ecsatic if they were to come true

So in light of the "TFA" teaser, what do you guys think of making Palpatine's lightsaber unstable looking like the new villain. I heard that in the original storyboards for ROTS Palpatine was supposed to have a flame like lightsaber. Regardless, if the new lightsaber is actually an ancient lightsaber like some of the rumors suggest then it might be kinda cool if palpy is wielding an old lightsaber.

I guess I could just make the after effects project files available to everyone. That way we avoid all of this nonsense. (This is all Metallica's fault) :)

I do own the blurays I just don't have a bluray burner. All I got in my computer is a DVD burner. Therefore I have no way to rip the HD versions & edit them. I guess if worst comes to worst I can just release dvd quality versions.

So I just realized that I don't have HD versions of these scenes, only the dvd versions. I have been working off of L8wtr's version & some of Mace Widu's scenes are cut out of his version. Most notably the fight with the Reek. Does anyone have these scenes for me to do in HD.

I have been in a long time lurker on this site. I have not yet been able to contribute anything, until now. I love all of the fan edits I have have seen come from this site. However the most common change almost everyone misses is Mace Windu's lightsaber. I have never been able to understand why his lightsaber is purple while the rest of the Jedi in the movies lightsaber colors were either blue or green. So I decided to change the color of his light saber from purple to blue.

I have been able to achieve this using after effects. You simply draw a Blue colored mask around the light saber. Then change the blend options to color. Then you can adjust the feather and mask expansion to your liking so that you have the right color that you want.

My goal is to release raw, HD versions of these new scenes of Mace's new colored Lightsaber in blue & green for fan edits. 

I am currently working on attack of the clones, and when I get an opportunity I will be working on revenge of the Sith as well.
