I am really interested in this edit. Like everyone else on here, I have my own issues with some of the edits you have chosen, but as a whole I love everything you’ve done. I am in the minority that is against having a crawl for R1. I would cut the coruscant dream sequence myself. I would also keep the churrit comedy bits. I would also keep the meeting I’d Saw too. But without actually seeing this edit a can’t say for sure how I feel about the changes you’ve made. Looking forward to it

Also, I go to my local library to print covers and art work. They have a really nice laser printer and they do legal and other sizes.

I am sure that is really frustrating Ady. The great part about it is that the original still holds up. All of the additions and upgrades you have made to this film is phenomenal, and we haven’t even seen the finished product yet.

I think I can speak for most everyone here that we are very thankful to have someone like yourself that has put so much time energy and money into something and share it so freely with all of us. Thank you for all of your hard work.

Hello all! I thought I would share with you the labor of love that have been conceiving for the past few months. I call this a “mash-up” because it is a mix between phildesfr, ronwlim and my own design. Most of the assets came from Pil’s zip that he put out and some of the other great work ones have done here. As you will notice, I did not plaster “Despecialized” on the front, or on the cases. Instead I tried to make this look as “Commercial” as possible. I did however give credit to Harmy with the “Harmy Restoration” logo at the bottom of the box and on each of the covers themselves. The only thing missing from these pictures is the “Bonus” disc that is included with each of the cases. I will post pictures of these later.

If anyone would like copies of any of the templates i can provide them?

Thanx for checkin this out. As I said, if anyone is interested i can post the PDF versions for printing. However, the box is something of my own creation using matte board so the pieces for the box will be a little odd. But I do have a 14x17 version of the box as well.

Also I am thinking of making a tutorial on how to make a box for your dvd/avchd/bluray cases using my method. I thing the boxes are really sturdy and are pretty easy to make once you get the hang of it.

I’m not sure what you mean. If you downloaded the zip and followed the instructions, it should work when you output. The logo won’t show up in the preview window because it’s visibility has been turned off.

I noticed that some of the EPS files included with the “design your own” set are not working properly such as the 77 Star Wars logo. Is there an updated version of the EPS files?

I’ve been going to my local library, they have pretty nice laser printers that look pretty good all said and done and I only pay 25¢ per page

I am looking for a hires version of the cbs box set art. The poster mashup one. And I know CrplHicks uploaded a version of the Vader in the star field, but it has so serious moire pattern on it. Has anyone cleaned it up?

So about 6 months ago I purchased an Epson xp640 with the capability to print on discs and I couldn’t be happier. The discs come out really nice. I have printed about 6 discs with no issues. However I am coming to the end of the starter ink that came with the printer and I’m going to have to go out and buy some ink. I have read online that most printer companies are really just ink companies and that is why printers are so cheap now a days. I have been looking into purchasing refilled ink cartradges or remanufactured cartradges, but some of the research I have done has said that doing this could actually damage your printer beyond repair. Though other sites I have been on have claimed that using refills or remanufactured inks are completely safe and it is a ploy of the printer makers to scare people from buying third party inks. So my question is if any of you have bought third party inks and what the results were. Did it cause problems for your printer? Do you recommend buying third party inks? Do they hold up to OEM? Who do you use if you do buy third party? I just don’t want to mess up my printer. But I also don’t want to spend almost half the cost of the printer just for ink.

Just watched this. I would say it all looks good, minus the fade out from Leia to the firing of SKB. I think you should either cut before we see her or hard cut after she reacts.

There is the problem of the Hosnian System falling off the map before it is destroyed, but any mention of it after the briefing scene would have to be completely manufactured. I’ve been thinking about how to make them into a sympathetic party, and the best I can think of is building a scene during the assault with various shots in the Resistance base:

Taslin Brance staring at a computer screen (seen in the deleted scenes)
"General, are you seeing this?"
Newly recorded dialogue of a Republic official saying something like "You have our full financial support, but it will take some time to scramble any ships to help you"
Voice of C-3PO (over Leia looking concerned): “Oh my, without the Republic Fleet we’re doomed!”

Thanx for the support! I ran into a bit of a snag with this box and have since figured out the issue. I will be re making the prequel box and the original trilogy box shortly. As far as the sequel box, well, that will have to wait until EPIX is released.
I had been trying to figure out what I was going to do for the 4th disc in the box but was having some difficulty deciding on what to do with it. I recently came up with the idea to make a documentary disc for each trilogy. The OT already has Empire of Dreams, so that will most likely be what will be on the OT special features disc with a few little other extras here and there. But as for the PT I am seriously kicking around the idea of creating my own making of fan film/edit that chronicles all 3 PT films.
Anyway, sorry for the stream of conscienceness here. Just kind of throwing it out there to see if anyone bites

Oh, Sweden. How you make me laugh. If you want a crawl template I have one available that works with blender and can easily be imported into after effects where lense distortion, gate weave, and chromatic abrasion can be applied later. But this is hardly the place to be asking these types of questions. Try direct messaging those you would like help from.

after actually viewing the video i have to say, that this idea is a good one. i would have to agree with ridley on it though. the execution isn’t quite there yet. but it definitely has potential. as far as it being something that is included in this edit…i’m still on the fence
