Help Wanted: Request - Star Wars episodes IV, V, VI & 1997 Special Editions
Time
(Please correct me if i'm wrong on this)
Mark:
These disks were the "5 Star Collection", which were silver pressed proffesional looking releases from Japan. They put out a lot of these kinds of releases (a friend of mine got a Sin City one like a week after the movie came out, but it was a cam and everyone's head was missing) "The New Hope" is probably just a translation error, nothing deliberate.

STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION
Time
First off: I cannot wait for this. It's like the special edition we should have gotten.
Second off: I'd like to add my support for the blue planet. When I watch edits like this, I try to set my mind in a "I've never seen this before" state. In this scene, all this is is a blue planet. Even if I wasn't trying to forget everything I knew about the movie, later in the movie Tarkin says to set course for Alderaan. Why would he do that if he was already there? The planet could be something like Mon Calamari, known for being enslaved by the empire, or could be something else completely. I was less drawn to the planet as I was to the reveal of the Death Star.

I've been snagging some SW comics, and I came across this and thought of this project:

This is from a comic called "Vader's Quest", it's the ramp people were talking about a page or two ago. I thought it was interesting because the artist "fixed" the ramp so it is cemented to the stairs like SomethingStarWarsRelated had said.

Info Wanted: Weird stuff, 'Musical Journey' - where is this sequence from?
Time
When I first saw it on the Musical Journey disk, I thought it was a different angle or something, it didn't look the way I remembered it, but alas, no dice. I just bought the disk and haven't watched it all the way through, but you are right, the colors do look different. I'd have to see the pictures side by side, but this might be our minds playing tricks on us (which happens all too often for me).

First off, there's nothing wrong with your timing on the DVD. You have it at 46:46 with the "Play without Intros" choice selected. Daveytod has his with the intros (just checked both).
As for the scene, It's in a New Hope, it's right after they escape from the Death Star, right before the Tie Fighter fight. Luke is sulking because Obi-Wan just died, and Leia is comforting him. I've just checked both the SE DVDs and the GOUT, they both have it. Go to chapter 39 on either and rewind a little bit.

Idea: an X 3 edit...
Time
I don't know what went on with the US DVDs, rumors of a slip-up at fox or something, but most have all 21 deleted scenes. I picked mine up today, with all 21 scenes on the disc. There is no Psylocke though.
I'd love to see an edit of this, mainly because I hate the ending of the Rogue story (yes, that is what bothered me most about the movie). The deleted scenes are great and i would love to see them in the movie.

Info: GHOSTBUSTERS - Tobins Spirit Guide
Time
Hello,
I'm really looking forward to this release, I love Ghostbusters. I attempted some covers, based on my idea of what Tobin's Spirit Guide looks like. I always imagined it as a leatherbound book with the metallic lettering on the cover, so:

I tried to do a gold/silver/copper, though the copper turned out more like orange.

And a double case to house all three:

NON-Star Wars Fan Edit and Alternate DVD Covers SHOWCASE
Time
Oh I see how it is,
Trying to get your post count up eh?

I just want to say these covers are awesome, especially the Harry Potter ones by Laserschwert. Now all I need to do is get my hands on the corresponding DVDs. That's the one thing I hate about these DVD covers, I have no plans to find something like a Titanic fan edit (I really don't like that movie - the actual movie, not the fan edit), but when people put covers like these out, I want them only for the express reason of displaying this art.

'I Bent My Wookie' - The Animated Tribute Project (* unfinished project *)
Time
This is a fantastic idea.
Doing a quick Google search, I found a link to everyones favorite pedia - Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cultural_references_to_Star_Wars .
I'm positive this isn't a complete list, but it's a good start. Looking over the list, I've got the Freakazoid Episode, the Futurama episode listed, some of the Muppet Babies (Although, you can make an entire DVD out of those), Toy Story 2, and of course, any Family Guy that is on DVD. I know American Dad has a a few references in the episode where they go to the Sci Fi convention (got that too). If you need any help getting these, just ask, and I'll see what I can do.

Star Wars DVD Covers
Time
First off, let me just say that I am constantly impressed with what people post in this particular forum. I have briefly considered actually making enough copies of these movies to supplement all the covers here (though that is pretty impractical).
Second, I need some opinions. I am working on a project that I've always wanted to see here, but no one has ever done (at least I don't think). I want to make a set of covers for EVERYTHING Star Wars. Fan edits, preservations, supplemental material, everything. The final product would be a set of covers that is uniform; they all have the same style. I titled it "The Ultimate Collection" mainly because this would be a set for everything that is out there, and there is a ton of stuff out there. The thing I wanted to maintain was the original art for the releases, and I think I managed to do that:

(Apologies for TPM being the first one I posted, I know that it isn't always regarded as an "Ultimate" Star Wars movie) The only thing i am not sure about is the back of the cover. Does it look good to you guys? Or should I go a different direction. The big plus to this style is that I can get the entire set finished very quickly (pending I find all of the covers). As for the uniformity of the set:

So please, comments are very welcome and requested on this set.

Untitled Bruce Campbell Project (* unfinished project - a ton of info & ideas *)
Time
I have looked all over the place for the "Quick and the Dead" scene, but i've never been able to find it. The shot itself was only done to appease some actor who demanded that he have his own shot about how he beats up some guy(Bruce) for sleeping with his daughter. Bruce was visiting the set when Raimi just grabbed him and told him to do the shot. I don't think it was ever supposed to be released with anything.

Everything I have is either XVID or DIVX with the exceptions of Within The Woods(mpeg) and the Blind Waiter(rm). American Gothic Came out on DVD not to long ago, that's why I have that one, but i might have it's broadcast version. I thought I had kept the Blind Waiter with WTW but I can't find it now (Though, I don't have real player installed on this computer, so I have no idea what all my RM files are). I know at one point I had "Revenge of the Helping Hand" but I can't find that anywhere. And I swear I had that version of WTW but I can't find that either (granted, that ones going back a couple years, and I have 450+ CDs/DVDs filled with stuff. Back then I would label my CDs with "Stuff" and "Movie Stuff" which is no help to me now).

Good lord as soon as I posted this, I popped in a random CD and it had "the Blind Waiter" on it. It also has on it a video taken by one of the Crew on the set of Army of Darkness - no Bruce, but some of Sam Directing and shots of props and such.

I got to meet Bruce on his book signing tour, he's funny as hell.
I've collected some BCTV stuff, I have all of the Xena's he's in, the First Hercules, both Megas XLR episodes, the Charmed Episode, The X-Files episode, the American Gothic Episode, he was on a Robot Chicken episode - got that, and I also have a Reboot episode where they go inside a game where they fight zombies and it's set in an Evil Dead level complete with an Ash-looking character who says "Groovy". I also have "The Blind Waiter" but it's RM(I think), and i have to look, but I know i have within the woods, and some other early Raimi films that might have him in it. If you can't tell, i'm a huge fan of his.

Help: looking for... Anyone have COSI Star Wars Exhibit Footage?
Time
Weird,
I didn't think anyone on this board was from Ohio, much less Cincinnati. I didn't even know there was a Star Wars exhibit at COSI. The last time I was there it didn't have any of it's swanky new stuff. It did have this space shuttle thing out in the lobby. My friend and I were in it when it started making a bunch of weird hissing noises, so we started yelling "ALIENS! THEY'RE HERE! HELP US!" We got many stares from passers by - nobody helped. That was back in like '97, so I have really no idea what's up there now, just that they redid the whole place.
