I love making trailers. In a lot of ways, they're actually more exhausting to make than a full fanedit because of the detail work and the fact that you have to tell a story in a very short period of time.
Vaderios, do you have any ideas on the Gungan battle?
Again, amazing work on those shots, Vaderios. The colors look like fresh produce...while the stale DVD versions look over-ripe. In fact, I think the film IS over-ripe for some color-correction.
Bingowings, is the additional Maul/Jango dialogue posted anywhere? I'd be interested to know what's available.

Well, you've certainly inspired me. That battle droid shot alone is enough to make we want to dive into it again. :)
Those shots are great, Vaderios! What an improvement! Just proves there's actually a good looking film buried somewhere beneath the pink haze. It's baffling that we've been living with TPM's substandard image quality since '99. Why does Lucasfilm insist on putting out inferior product time and time again? I wonder if it's laziness or just apathy. For all the edits we have out there for TPM, it's amazing that no one has even tried to tackle the color correction.
What's stopping you from putting out a color-corrected version of the entire film, Vaderios? Saw your AOTC stuff too in the SOTDS thread. Looks great!
The seclusion makes it even creepier for Piett. Look at him standing there all alone...with this scabbed-up killer. I'd be feeling some serious claustrophobia if I were Piett.
It's kind of like visiting Hannibal Lecter's cell.

As it stands in the movies in their current form, that's true, Bingowings. But how much more of a dynamic could you add by making Anakin the McGuffin of the story?
In ANH it was the Death Star plans. In ESB it was Luke. In the prequels, we don't really have one, unless you count "Syfo-Dyas" which never really went anywhere.
These movies need an Ark of the Covenant... Something for them to chase.

I've thought about going in that direction too. Sidious sends Maul to Tatooine to look for this "vergence" he senses in the Force, instead of the Queen. Meanwhile, the Council sends Qui-Gon. It's a race between the Jedi and the Sith to find Anakin first.

I'm sure you all remember Palpatine had a similar "meditation chamber" adjacent to his office in ROTS with a little hallway Mace and Co. strode down to confront him. Maybe Vader had something similar on the Executer.

The focus should be on Obi-Wan, everything could be through his perspective. If you eliminate the "finding Anakin" story, then Obi-Wan is there for every major plot point.

That's an idea that's so outrageous, that it just might work. Since the saga is generally considered "Anakin's story" by most, I don't think anyone (including me) has ever seriously considered cutting his story out of TPM. Visualizing it though, it's a definite possibility. I think it would work better in a "prologue" type arrangement though than in a standalone episode, but yeah, definitely something interesting to try.

Gettin' excited for this, Ady... Haven't checked up on this in quite a while, but I saw the first transport escape clip and was in awe. The ion cannon is great, and the ships blasting to hyperspace afterward works perfectly... And the new star destroyer bridge, what can I say? Amazing!

I'm paying close attention to the suggestions in this thread as well as a thread over at fanedit.org. I'll consider the practicality of all of them while doing my edit, combined with my own ideas, of course, about what I feel should be changed.
Haha...yes, the write-up. :) But maybe the edit too. Depends on how well everything goes. The disc just came out in the U.S. today, so...
