Oh, but assure you I can :-)
Oh, but assure you I can :-)
Well, yes, if they actually delivered a proper release, with good detail, no visible DNR and proper colors, I'd call it a day too :)
I always keep myself calm by looking at how popular Ady's work is and there was never any legal action against revisited. I don't think we're really causing any losses for the copyright owners here, especially since the vast majority of financial returns from SW are currently from toys and EU stuff, so if anything, we are helping promote their products and they also need good publicity before the release of the new episodes.
All of this compression is already in the lossless file - I don't know where it was first introduced but I guess it must have already been in the source I was using.
Well, I can only assume that somehow the '93 commentary track got flagged as default when you built your BD.
Huh?
Yes, it just needs to be burned in UDF2.5 file format. If you use IMGBurn, it will set everything automatically for you.
Well, yes but all the downloads I provided were either ISO or BMDV and CERTIFICATE folders ready for burning.
Why on Earth don't you just burn it to disc like it is? Or if you need an ISO, why not just make an ISO from the files? This seems super complicated.
I found STID waaaay more entertaining than ST2 - ST2 was a better written film in terms of internal logic of the plot, there's no denying that but I was pretty bored watching it and after all the hype of a lot of people saying it was the best ST film, I was quite disappointed.
I think, to me, the Abrams' ST films are so entertaining, because they have very well written dialog between the principle characters. This is also why my favorite old crew ST movie is ST4 - like Abrams, I'm just not a big ST fan and I like these films, because they are less Star Treky. This, I think is the principle problem why the opinions on the new ST films vary so much, the hard core ST fans are disappointed, because it's not really Star Trek, where as people like me are happy for the very same reason :)
But I'm quite convinced that whatever the new ST films' undeniable faults, they are mostly script related and the films are really well directed.
^This.
Yes, never ever apply auto anything.
Quite interesting - too simple for my taste but I'm sure others will appreciate exactly that :-)
As to the BD program, I still had no luck with that, except for that one trial version someone suggested a while ago, which is of course a last resort and I'd have to get it just before I do the BD and have everything ready for it.

Stasmr Wars :)
I got it from a thread about those commentaries, which I can't seem to find now. I believe that this one came from some library VHS. There were also three other tracks, one for each film, but they were for the SEs and I'm not sure where those came from.
I just saw the newsletter and it says:
We're still hoping the BD release of Star Wars DE will be here this holiday season, including all the great bonus content, so we'll let you know when this happens.
I regret to say that with the end of the semester getting near, which means exams and deadlines on multiple papers are coming up, there is no chance whatsoever that I could find enough free time to finish any of this before Christmas, I'm sorry.
I don't know if this is the case, but some BD players unfortunately don't support AVCHD playback.
I have a cheap Samsung bd-e5300 player and when I play the MKV on it, there's definitely something fishy going on with the scaling, like for example the crawl has some serious aliasing, that just isn't there when I play it on my PC and I noticed this issue with other 720p files as well. It could be this issue you were talking about but I don't know, because it sounds like you are experiencing some kind of motion judder, which I don't seem to. Funny thing is though, that once I remuxed the same streams to BD in TS Muxer and burned it to disc and played it on the BD player, the issue seems to be gone.
^this.
Well, finally. Although I must say that if he should have been banned for something, it was this thread.
Most of the "despecialized" shots here were just GOUT upscales, so it was generally worse than ROTJ DeEd v1.0. Plus of course, it was only an SD DVD.

It's region free, as most fan edits/preservations are, however it's no longer available, having been replaced by the Partially Despecialized Edition and the Despecialized Edition v1, which has been eclipsed by v2.PuroSossego said:
Hey, i don't know much about dvds, but, this plays in region 4 players? If yes or no, anyway, send me a pm.
Which has been eclipsed by v2.1 which has been slightly improved in v2.5. P.S. Updated your post in the quote.
This thread is about ROTJ, so all you wrote (and "updated") is wrong.
Happy birthday!
Just the project files - it's much easier that way.
Oh, while it's bumped, let me just say that I sent Puggo an email with the project files for all my corrections the same day I last posted in this thread and he's not got back to me, so I assume he must be busy with some real life stuff.
