Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)
Time

New video. I was originally just going to use DJ's Blu (GOUT sourced) for these two shots but I didn't like the blinking starfield, which was worsened by the increased contrast, so I decided to try and quickly do something about it... and well, I ended up staying up all night working on it, but I think it was worth it. Please check it out and comment :-)

GOUT 2020 in PostageStampOrama (TM), the LD Transfers now with even thicker boarders.

THE ORIGINAL THEATRICAL VERSION OF STAR WARS ON BLU-RAY FOR THE FIRST TIME!!! HERE'S THE FIRST SCREENSHOT!!!

:-D

Imagine the following trailer:

For an entire generation people have experienced Star Wars the only way it has been possible, in the Special Edition.

But if you've only seen it this way, you haven't seen it at all!

Now after decades of wasted time in changing perfect movies.

See the Oscar winning original theatrical version.

With its original visual effects.

With its original Sound and Score.

And no more surprises!

I must say, having gone through a lot of shots of the 2004 SE HD in great detail, there is quite a lot of grain there. So much actually, that I would have no problem believing that that's how grainy the o-neg is. When I say this though, I mean the 97SE conformed o-neg, where a lot of the original optical composites (which would be the grainiest parts of the original) were replaced by digitally recomposited ones. So if they got rid of the crushed blacks and f'ed-up colours, which are probably not a part of the scan but rather a later in the process screw-up, I think the 2004 scans could quite well be used for an original cut re-assembly.
