King of Jazz (1930) - The Criterion Collection just released this, after receiving a rather lengthy and expensive restoration from Universal. It was pretty much what I expected, but I didn’t expect to be as disinterested as I was.

I liked most of the film, but think a lot of the more questionable decisions could be trimmed out without losing much.

Actually you shouldn’t film vertically. it might seem easier to hold your phone that way, but it is actually quite annoying to watch things that were filmed that way. There is a thing referred to as Vertical Video Syndrome and i fear you have it.
