I guess I wasn’t the only one disappointed with this cover. It’s been changed. I think it’s much better, truer to the tone of the film, but the O around Marilyn’s head could be improved.
I liked Watchmen. But I only saw the TV edit.
So if I’m pretty sure it’ll take me four hours to get somewhere I should double the ETA to eight hours instead?

So, I’ve watched about half of it now, and I’m surprised at how meticulous it is. Very good watch.
I don’t know how fair it is to say this is more of a comedy than The Phantom Menace. Never forget that “Jar Jar is the key to all of this”.
I haven’t seen Pt. III in ages. I remember it well, but my memory is foggy and I know it just ripped off the original more or less. And when you just rip off something that good, it’s bound to be alright.
Speaking of, I actually watched Back to the Future with a friend a few days ago. It was the first time he had ever seen it! He really enjoyed it, and it got the same reactions out of both of us. I had to explain a few things, like Dave’s Burger King uniform. But the fact it was able to get the same reactions out of someone who’s seen it a thousand times and someone who’s seeing it for the first time… man, that movie is special.
If you ever have to give someone an ETA, and you have a good idea of what it is… double it. Just in case.

I think the anti- “thoughts and prayers” meme is more tired than the condolences people offer. Complaining about expressions of sympathy gets zero traction in trying to convince people of policy views.

I don’t know, I had teachers tell kids to stay away from me. It kind of put me through hell. And everything I ever read about them only further convinces me to avoid public schools whenever I have children.
