Yeah, yeah. Funny thing is, it was down to confusion and anxiety on my part. I wasn't rejected, I was accepted, but I backed out before anything had begun. So, you can imagine how I feel about that. Especially when all my good friends are shared. I learned many valuable lessons from that clusterfuck of a situation.

There is a protocol here for requesting invites and it is not to come in to the project thread to do it.  I've posted the link below.

The reason the protocol is in place is to keep these threads clear of off topic posts.  stretch is helping people out which is great but these members need to be sent to the proper thread for their requests.  The spleen  has seen so many hit n runners that it's not funny and it makes us here look bad for being the ones who just handed out the invites for them to do so.

 This particular project is not hosted on that website, so it would be a bit odd to ask for an invite there.

Tomb Raider and those indie titles are multi-platform... That pretty much puts the two on equal footing, in my eyes. All they have that I'm interested -- based on your list -- is ReCore.

 I screwed that up. And my mind occassionally wanders back to this situation. It doesn't help when I am forcefully reminded of it.

What's the best way to watch ROTJ OOT? Harmy's DeEd 1.0 is awfully spartan and obviously incomplete, so I'm wondering what's the next best thing.

 TeamBlu did some nice upscales of the GOUT, which is a bit more consistent in image quality than the DeEds, though it's sub-HD. Puggo has a 16mm scan of the film coming out soon enough, and Harmy's 2.0 ROTJ is currently being worked on, along with Team Negative1's 35mm scans. However, this film is probably the most neglected of the three when it comes to preservation efforts.

The theatrical cut of Sith is on the Blu-rays, unless some extra debris on some rooftops really bothers you.

 Did you not watch E3? They blew Sony out of the water. Which was incredibly surprising given their spectacular failure at launch.

I have a 2012 65" Panasonic plasma, the year before they decided to end production on plasma televisions. I've gotta say, it makes it very difficult to watch LED screens. As for sound, it's just some old 7.1 system inherited from an older setup from 2006, but it is decent enough for my needs.

Just saw Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb for the first time a few hours ago. Wow. What a weird film. I feel like I have to watch it a second time to fully grasp it.

 I agree. It goes both ways, banning something offensive is a VERY slippery slope. 

I personally would only buy the BDs of movies I know are good enough to be worth it, or of TV shows I love enough, like Star Trek. Sitcoms and cruddy movies are fine on DVD.

Might I add that it was incredibly infuriating getting this to post?

 You misunderstood. She was a vegetarian for awhile, gave up,  tried again, repeat ad nauseum for a few months, and then forgot she ever attempted it.

 My sister was a vegetarian off and on for about 5 months. I'm sure it'll pass soon, she's running out of foods to eat.

Nah. It's stronger than TOS in some ways (TNG's entire roster of characters got more time to shine in their own stories than TOS' ever did, for example.), but when it's weak, it's weaker than TOS ever was. 

 I'd argue that the very best of TNG outshines the best of TOS (Guardian of Forever notwithstanding). So, TOS is the more focused of the two, while TNG is much more varied. It makes sense, given that TNG lasted a whole lot longer than TOS.

Indeed. Much like the abolishment of slavery, and the Civil Rights Movement of the 60s, it may now be the law of the land, but it needs to be executed. Execution is the tricky part.

As for commanders, I'd love to hang around Kirk, but I'd much rather be Picard.

Put the official BDs under there; I'm sure it's still a massive improvement.
