If you need to B*tch about something other than originaltrilogy.com... This is the place

I truly despise this style of haircut:

It’s just so uneven and ugly, and what’s even worse is that 90 percent of boys at my school have it.

This is a trend that’s picked up in just the past 4-5 years or so and it’s awful. I’m disheartened to hear 90% of your local population has succumbed to it. I don’t even know where it came from.

For reference, this is what people’s hair looked like at my school:

In addition, the new trend of not wearing socks with shoes is stupid.

Where on Earth is that a new trend? LOL

mostly concentrated on the green and brownish bits. never really caught on in the bluey whiteish areas.

Weird because I know white people (presumably that is what your comment is referrencing) that do this.

I think he was referencing the parts of the Earth not covered in water or snow/ice.

This will only serve as a constant reminder of the world we now find ourselves in.

Paris to put up glass wall to protect Eiffel Tower

I can’t help but feel saddened this is necessary. It robs the world of romance as bureaucracy and terror strive to rule the day.

Unless I’m reading this wrong there’s already a wall around it (a metal one) and this one will actually look a lot better?

Yes, though the metal fence was only put up in the last half of last year, my point still stands. Instead of an image of temporary fear, this one is more permanent.

The Dream of the Giant Fractal Woodlouse.
Time

I only remember dreams from early childhood.

One, where I was wandering in my backyard and a vulture, sitting on our playset, grabbed me and stuffed me down its throat.

Another where I became self-aware I was in a dream while walking down a maze, and decided there was no point in continuing down the maze if it wasn’t real, so I pinched myself and woke up.

Another, years later, where I was driving to Disney World with cops on my tail, and hiding in a secret base my grandparents apparently owned.

What movies do you consider canon?

I thought Luke and Leia were different ages too. So long as it’s not explicitly mentioned, that detail can change too. Also I’m a bit confused as to why Luke and Leia had to be twins in the first place, and not just siblings.

If they weren’t twins, how would you explain that Vader didn’t know his wife was pregnant not once but twice? He didn’t know about Leia.

Good point, honestly I haven’t fully thought this through, but I also don’t think he’d not have to know his wife was pregnant twice. He could have been well aware of Luke’s birth, nothing in the first two movies implies he wasn’t (George even altered the dialogue in ESB to change that!), plus that would make the “Your father wanted you to have this” not an outright lie. He may have been led to believe Luke had died in a Jedi purge.

Silverwook’s explanation alleviated my confusion, but I still think making Leia a Skywalker was a mistake.

both the far-left and the far-right are every bit as despicable as they claim each other are.

False Equivalence™

I think that the far-left and far-right are both despicable and I think that both are a threat to American freedoms. Maybe in different ways, but both are despicable and threatening enough that I don’t prefer either.

Can you give a common example of something you consider to be “far left” and “a threat to American freedoms”? I ask because I consider myself pretty far to the left, and am not sure who I am threatening.
