Any other significant releases I haven’t seen. I’m passing entirely on DC’s new movie series, as you can see I like some camp in my movies. But it has to be good.

The old Blu-ray was very blue, they corrected it somewhat. Plus, it was the safest option for the 50th, seeing as how it’s the most beloved film of the series.

When we start seeing more native 4K CG, maybe it’ll start to stick out, but as of now I can hardly muster enough effort to care about 4K at all right now. I want better reproduction of colors and contrast ratios, but they killed my dear plasma televisions before OLED was ready. Oh well.

According to the IMDB pages, the DIs are in 4K. That doesn’t really tell us anything about the CG though.

I mean, I can tell the difference between 40s and 50s haircuts and styles, so I don’t know what you’re on to there. Star Wars is very much a 70s film telling a story nearly as old as time itself in a new way, but that’s part of why we love it.
