Yeah I saw that. Andre was great. And to think when they were talking about doing the Princess Bride in the 1970s they discussed using Arnold Schwarzenegger as the giant Fezzik (and Arnold's only 6'2") and at another point they actually had Liam Neeson auditioning for the giant (and Neeson's only 6'4").

George Lucas Caught Up in Union Battle
Time
Star Wars movie mogul George Lucas is at the centre of a union dispute after filing an unfair labor practices complaint against stewards in charge of sound editors who work for him. Lucas and producers at his LucasFilm company in northern California claim union representatives stalled talks to negotiate a new contract by canceling meetings and failing to respond to requests for information. Lucas' right-hand man Howard Roffman says, "We have spent four very frustrating months and have been unable to get the union to the bargaining table to negotiate. We've got a business to run here." Roffman, LucasFilm's vice-president of business affairs, admits he's baffled that anyone has any union grievances with the movie mogul, because he's a great boss. He adds, "This is a guy who has taken care of his employees like very few employers on this planet."

I guess he's being punished for the prequels and the special editions...

James Cameron's Battle Angel - the beginning of a live action anime feeding frenzy?
Time
I know you'll hate me for this, Klingon_Jedi, but while I find the original BGC entertaining (I particularly like the last episode, "Scoop Chase") I think that in terms of "plot" it lacked focus - most of the episodes seem to have revenge on the brains, especially Priss oriented revenge, and a little Priss can go a long way. The design work of the series is ground breaking (with nods to Blade Runner with the GENOM buildling and the ADP cars), but one particular character design really grates my visual nerves - Priss. I'm sorry but on a very shallow and superficial note she looked ridiculous in the old version.

Not that I want to start a flame war or anything.

Anyone here familiar with Dominion: Tank Police?

I know this is a cardinal sin, but enjoy 2040 more than the original BGC. It's like comparing the hosts of Mystery Science Theater 3000 - Joel Hodgson and Mike Nelson, respectively - both have their good points and bad points , but 2040 appeals more to me - though I prefer the red haired Nene from the original BGC over the blonde Nene of 2040.

Why Sebastian is better..
Time
Like everyone else said, Sebastian Shaw was the right age and he had the right kind, warm, proud, fatherly demeanor, wereas Hayden just looks smug, weird, and evil. Hell, Shaw even had a better physical presence. He looked taller than Hayden ( who's 6'1") and had mass to him (which was probably the result of old age). One more reason to damn that George Lucas.
