team negative1 - star wars 1977 - 35mm theatrical version (Released)
Time

Ahh, I see what you mean. That’s entirely possible. I made an attempt last night, but the audio cut out after the 81 flyover switched back to the rest of the film. I didn’t check the 77 flyover. I left off the Spanish track to eke out as much room as I could, that might’ve broken something by changing the streams. I’m going to try again tonight & see what happens.

Man, I haven’t used BD-Rebuilder in ages, I can’t believe I didn’t think of it though. I’ve used DVDFab in the past with good results, but it didn’t seem to like the original ISO. I’ll test out my modified one with BD-Rebuilder and report back. I definitely plan to do a BD-50 later, I just don’t have the spare cash for any at the moment.

Thanks for the info, guys! I ended up going with Williarob’s crawl since it’s pure 35mm, it seemed to fit the SSE better IMO. Now to burn it, lol. Does anyone have a suggestion for a program to convert it to BD-25? I don’t have any BD-50 discs at the moment, but I plan to get some eventually. I need a quick fix though 😛

Ripping GOUT chapter stops for Harmy's Despecialized Editions
Time

Huh. Well then…nevermind, lol. I muxed a blu-ray from TN1’s SSE and it didn’t seem to include any, so I guess I just made an assumption that the Despecialized Editions didn’t have any either. I never actually considered that Matroska files incorporated chapters. That’ll teach me to jump to conclusions. Harmy thought of everything!

Ripping GOUT chapter stops for Harmy's Despecialized Editions

I’ve decided to use the chapter stops from the GOUT (because I can, not for any other particular reason) to make BD-Rs using TSmuxer, but they get out of sync as the movie progresses. I’m assuming the reason is that the GOUT is at 29.97fps, amd Harmy’s versions are 23.976. But the chapter data I’m using (ripped via ChapterGrabber 5.4) is in hh.mm.ss.mss format. So, should the differing framerates actually make that much of a difference? By the middle of Empire, it seemed to be off by several seconds. Not really a huge deal, but I’m curious as to why it’s happening. I believe the videos are GOUT compatible, so I figured they’d sync up fairly closely.

Trying to create a AVCHD version of -1's Silver Screen, I'm running into issues...
Time

I made a disc of my copy, but I made a BD-R. If you have the funds available I suggest that route, media and burners are getting cheaper all the time. I know that’s not very helpful to your issue though…I’m honestly not sure what’s going on there, I’ve never experienced a problem like that. :-\ I’ll look into it further, you’ve piqued my curiosity.

Edit: sorry, I didn’t notice the Swedish subtitles part, that should’ve been a clue to me. I don’t know what the market for burners is like in your locale, I was basing that off my experience in the States. Do you get the same results with your transcoded MKV as well?

I’m very curious to see what the scene with Jabba will look like after your regrade. I like the concept of the scene, even if the execution is horrible with that CGI Jabba looking like he was (quite literally) pasted in. I doubt a color correction will make him look better, but it can’t hurt the scene at least. I’m really looking forward to your completed project!

I think Dre might have played around with that scene a little when he first got his tool working. It ended up looking somewhat like Harmy’s 97SE grading.

Ahh, cool. I’ll have to look it up then.

Harmy's RETURN OF THE JEDI - Grindhouse 35mm LPP (Released)
Time

I’m new to the forum, but I’ve been lurking for a while, and I love all the hard work and labors of love I’ve seen here. I haven’t gotten to watch the RotJ grindhouse yet, but I love what I’ve seen so far. Thanks to Harmy and Poita both for this fantastic copy!

And I second Towne’s jealousy for being able to consider buying that ebay print, lol
