Seriously? You’re making such a bullshit excuse to coddle your kids when they’re acting cranky in the face of cuteness. When some stranger or a grandparent calls them out for their nonsense, that’s when you fucked up as a parent.
I prefer the 1985 Disney logo and its Pixar variant over the CGI ones just cause the music is annoying and it didn’t help that it replaced the older logos on their Disney Renaissance and the early Pixar movies.

Hey, how is the progress on that scan coming along?
Star Trek II the Wrath of Khan Anamorphic first issue DVD. Super grainy picture and its DVD so its highly compressed in picture and audio. The print negative damage and color shift is obvious. I did watch it because unlike the 4K it has the original mix even if it’s in lossy 2.0 Dolby surround format. And i did not want to hook up my old tv and get my laserdisc player working and search for the Star Trek 1-5 box set to find my letterbox copy of ST II.
What about ripping the audio and syncing it to the 4K master? You can extract the video and audio from the DVD to use as syncing reference to the 4K Blu-Ray.

It was shockingly clean! The condition is extremely nice overall, with just one splice on the third reel. I think people will be really happy with how the final scan turns out. 😃

It’s actually a lot less faded than the pictures made it out to be! Check the image links I replied to Peter with on the last page, you’ll see they’re pretty close to how the colors presumably should look. There’s a tiny bit of fade, but it’ll be pretty easy to color-correct.
That reminds me, Considering that there is one splice in one of the reels, I have a Blu-Ray copy of this movie and I can try to match the visuals to the film print to fill that in.
Or…you can use the NTSC LaserDiscs of the film to recreate the official aesthetic of 35mm print that Disney used in their pre-2000 masters. Especially since according to the Deluxe CAV Edition LD, many of the raw digital frames done after rendering were instantly transferred over to positive 35mm, since digitally sourced films weren’t a thing back in 1995.
I don’t have a laserdisc player.
Maybe anyone who has a laserdisc player, any NTSC LD copy of the film, and a capture card, alongside perfect NTSC calibration from the software could help.
I got the Japanese Deluxe CAV and the Standard NTSC Laserdisc. I still need to rip the laserdisc for my server at some point.

Also, considering that this is a print from Australia, I wonder if it contains a Dolby Digital track on the print, as well as maybe the Roger Rabbit short “Rollercoaster Rabbit”, as with the case on international theatrical releases of the film, including the UK.
Looking at the photos from the Ebay listing, the print contains a Dolby Digital track. I don’t know if Rollercoaster Rabbit’s attached to it or not.
Is there going to be an open matte version of this scan?

Why
I find the animation in Balto to be off-putting than the direct to video sequels.
Olives are disgusting. The taste is this sour and it makes me want to spit it out.
Tex Avery’s cartoons are hit or miss to me. Sometimes I found of some his cartoons funny (like Garden Golpher), others I find a bit corny. I think the best he has ever done are I’m Cold and The Legend of Rock-a-Bye Point. I can understand why he’s iconic though, Tex Avery changed the face of animation for the better at the time when there’s a ton of sappy Disney clones (especially the 1930’s.
Anyway, I prefer the Fleischers’ cartoons.
Honestly, I find The Terminator’s 4K UHD release to be pretty silly since they upscaled the pre-existing scan with AI and called it a day when THE ORIGINAL FILM MASTERS STILL EXIST!
By the way, how did you upscale it to 4K without AI?

I have a feeling that the adults’ love for Bluey was a combination of genuine enjoyment and pushback to their teen-angst phase (especially with media like Twilight), probably because of their shame of the latter.
Super Mario Bros. 3 while still a good game is overrated. The complete lack of a save feature when other NES games of similar length or shorter had one means that it’s very easy to lose lots of progress. Super Mario Bros. 2 is the best of the NES Mario games in my opinion.
The SNES and GBA versions soften that with a save feature on both versions which made them a bit better. Speaking of which, I played the latter and didn’t do the extra levels yet because I don’t have an E-Reader accessory along with the game’s cards.
