That kinda sucks, although I'm not currently Ex equipped so it wouldn't make much difference. I just remember seeing this in the theatre and being blown away by the sound design, kinda like The Incredibles.

I'm 1/2way between #2 & 3. I got a gift card, which meant I would wind up spending ~$25Cdn on the set ($6.25 per disc) with the sale that was happening @ Indigo. Since that's even cheaper than the $6.88 bin @ Wal*Mart, I decided 'What the hey; I've had worse transfers out of that bin.'

I'm reserving judgment on this one. It looks fun, but I seriously doubt its faithfulness to the source.

BTW, Roald Dahl himself altered the books to eliminate the Pygmy reference in the Oompa Loompas. Later publications reveal them to look more like diminutive hippies.

Check her out in the Spongebob Squarepants movie; she plays one of the theatre staff, and has a great moment following the end credits.

Elektra would be a spinoff, in the "Joanie Loves Chachi" sense of the word. The same would be true of the planned Magneto and Wolverine movies.

Best not to remember the third. As I recall, Burt Reynolds doesn't even star in it. He may have a token appearance, but he couldn't be bothered to do the entire film.

It was either money or scheduling conflicts. the usual Hollywood story. Personally, I think DeNiro should have waited until Pesci and Cher were available, or paid them the extra dough; it really would have made a difference in this case.

I thought the price on the 512MB model was $99 and the 1GB was $149, or is that only from the Apple Online Store?
Just checked, and the price @ BestBuy.ca is $129.99 Cdn for the 512MB. That's only $40 more than I paid for my Panasonic protable CD player with MP3 playback.

Bad sequels: any Nightmare on Elm Street movie NOT directed by Wes Craven.
Predator 2
All the Highlander sequels (and in retrospect, apart from the Queen music and Clancy Brown as Kurgan, the movie itself was no great shakes either.)
