Kaufman is an old film school friend who cares more for film artistry than box office. If Kaufman could convince GL that he is actually destroying his films in his efforts to "improve" them, we might make some headway. BTW, don't forget that Kaufman collaborated w/ GL on the story for ROTLA. He is a trusted associate.

But of course. I'm having a hard time coming up with other filmmakers that would have any impact on GL. The only one I can think of is Philip Kaufman.
