Original audio stems means going back to the original recorded tracks prior to mastering. Burtt says they will have to rerecord something like a minute and a half of sound effects that were lost, but what this really means is that we will get truly digitally remastered audio that will take the fullest possible advantage of dynamic range and frequency response. Simply put, crisper sound with lower lows and higher highs, and a much greater range between loud and soft.

Yes, you do need to check out A Mighty Wind. Incredibly funny. Eugene Levy's performance was on par with Johnny Depp's in POTC. Since your wife loves her Tom Hanks flicks, I take it you'll be seeing The Ladykillers?
