The plans with the dish on the equator were very clearly shown on the screen as they being downloaded to the disc they gave to Leia.
Pink or red doesn’t really matter. They’re engines, the colors don’t mean anything.
Doesn’t matter at all, but I do prefer the pink glow. Makes it look weird and sci-fi.
The Death Star graphics though is something I’m worried about. It was a simple mistake in the original. Rogue One using the same graphics was their way of fixing the mistake - same as adywan in ANHR - by making it seem like it was intentional. But it still makes little sense, and requires a bullshit explanation outside of the film to explain why it’s that way (the hard drive has every version of the plans I guess?). Even with that silly explanation, it doesn’t make any sense at all for the Rebels to be using and showing out of date plans when they’re planning their attack. I think you can still keep continuity with RO and still fix the plans (in RO we see early versions of the plans and in ANH we see the current plans). To use the old graphics for the briefing scene is a huge misstep, I think.
Yep. I’d much rather see Ady add the updated plans to R1 instead of demoting his change in ANH:R For all the reasons you’ve stated.
Okay, then. What would YOUR in-universe explanation be for the different looking Death Star plans when taking both Rogue One and A New Hope Revisited into account?
I’d love it if someone made a custom Blu-Ray cover of the Despecialized Trilogy for a single 3-disc Blu-Ray case, similar to how the official Blu-Rays for the OT and PT were bundled separately back in 2011.
When will suggestions for Return of the Jedi: Revisited be open?
What does that wink mean? Is he hinting that he’s saying something he doesn’t mean?
sorry but why the silence?
Because i like making you suffer
I laughed, but then I read his last post, and I think you aren’t making him suffer enough.
Well i was going to release ESB:R next month, but i think i will leave that until 2020 just to make him suffer more after his comment 😉
Now everyone will think it is coming next month.
OH SHIT!!!
DISCLAIMER: That was NOT in any way a pointer to the actual release date. 😉
What kind of bonus features will be included?
Adywan, I just saw Rogue One for a second time, and I noticed that the X-Wing engines are pink, while ANH Revisited has them red. Also in ANH Revisited, I noticed that before Vader’s duel with Obi-Wan, the sound effect of his lightsaber turning on is not the “hissing” sound it usually has. Could you please fix them?
I’m not sure if that’s down to using the ‘restorations’ as templates rather than it being the original or superior colour choice.
What about the lightsaber sound effect?
So…will this edit effect Season 3 of Rebels?
Yes, the Rebels of Phoenix squadron will be tasked with completing the Wampa arm scene for this edit. Dave Filoni just tweeted it.
Oh no way! Thanks for the response. I had no idea Dave was helping with this edit! That makes Rebels and Clone Wars a lot more enjoyable now that they are…revisited…
I don’t see anything about that on his Twitter page:

Adywan, I’d like some updates, please.
I don’t think it’s a contradiction.

Believe it or not, I’m a Prequel Trilogy apologist.
Okay, I understand. They will eventually be finished. I only wish it wouldn’t take so long just for one movie. How can I learn to be more patient?
Ady has said ROTJ:R won’t take nearly as long as ESB:R has. Not because there isn’t as much to do (I’d wager that Jedi needs more work than any of the OT), but circumstances will be different. Ady has had several hardships and life issues during the creation of this project that has set it back considerably. Also, he has learned so much from this project and that knowledge will speed things along on Jedi as well as 2nd unit teams ect. that are now assembled.
As for learning to be more patient, well, you have no choice, so what ya gonna do? You’ve just learned a life lesson. 😉
That’s a good sign. I feel a little better now.
How long does it usually take to color correct a two-hour movie?
I get the feeling that Return of the Jedi Revisited won’t need as many changes, because many of the effects still hold up very well.

It wouldn’t hurt to have someone else help. It doesn’t have to be a one-man job.
He’s not doing this for you. He’s doing it because he enjoys doing it.
How about this place? http://www.chalkstudios.co.uk/

Is it all right if I ask someone who knows how to do modeling work to help Adywan make some things for Return of the Jedi Revisited? It may get the job done faster.
The problem with combining The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones into one movie is that Star Wars traditionally doesn’t do time jumps within the same movie.
Somehow I wish I could live in England and be Adywan’s right hand man to get the Revisited Editions done faster. I don’t want to wait eight years for Return of the Jedi Revisited!
Does anyone remember the very first version i did of that scene?

And i was told by many that the planet needed to change because it was too blue. I guess i should have kept it the way it was originally 😉
You should have. 😉
Like I said, that doesn’t mean he can’t change it back for the eventual HD version. That is still quite a serendipity, isn’t it?
For all the changes George Lucas made to the OT to match the PT, why didn’t he ever change the Death Star plan graphics like Adywan did? How did that one get overlooked?

It looks close enough to Scarif, doesn’t it? Why not use it when you do the HD version?
Just need to add a large crater Suggestions now closed
ok tell me off!!!
Why must the suggestions be closed? 😦
Because Ady knows what he’s going to do 😃
It’s Amazing almost like they took Ady’s suggestion it’s like a ready made sequel sort of in a few respects…I stuck ANH Revisited on this morning after watching Rogue One only the beginning mind…
Do you like the explanation I gave for the different Death Star plans graphics in ANH:R compared to Rogue One?
