Matt Groening and George Lucas are rather alike in many, many ways. Both are bearded left-leaning Hippie types who are oblivious fools in regard to the states of their respective franchises. The only real difference between them is that Lucas has absolute power over the franchise he spawned while Groening has ... well ... absolutely none over his.

Isn't it obvious? He's not the real George Lucas but a replicant created and planted on Earth to help destroy our cultural heritage and replace it with a mind-numbingly awful facsimile full of subliminal messages designed to lower our will and make us less able to resist their planned invasion of our world.
