Taking out the things that make Star Wars what it is, is self-defeating, and does not really serve any purpose.

There's still Rogue Squadron. There's still the Death Star. These things are part and parcel with Star Wars, yes?
If you want each and every SW film to focus on Force users, then I'm sorry to say this, but you have a pretty myopic view of the SW Universe.

If I remember correctly in the past Marvel would release a movie adaptation before the film's debut, when did this change with Marvel
Probably when the artists became bad at meeting deadlines.

Just letting you know that there is a possibility which you too can by trolled on the internet somewhere else and not even know it
No shit, Sherlock.
Of the seven TV shows I considered my favourites as a kid/early 20-something, only The Simpsons (the first nine seasons, that is), remains on the list.
If only reality lived up to nostalgia. *sigh*
As far as I'm concerned, the "canon" Jedi suck, so any film that doesn't feature them is as welcoming as a tall glass of cool water in a hot desert to my eyes.
It took me six months give-or-take to write my Ep. I re-write. Nearly twice that many months have passed since I started this one, and I'm probably not even one-fourth of the way done.
I am so disappointed in myself right now. =(
Lazy Frink was lazy. =P
The tidal forces rocking that planet/moon must be immense.
KILROY WAS HERE
By Jove! It works! (In my case, though, only with dark gray, not black.)
Oh, yay -- more generic darksiders with spinning red lightsabers, mention of that stupid "ten thousand Jedi Knights" thing, and an implication that the stormtroopers are going to keep on being portrayed as incompetent jokes.
*sigh* Virtually all optimism I had for the second season just went down the drain. I don't know why I even bother feeling hopeful anymore; Filoni & co. obviously don't have the ability to see the problems in their storytelling and correct them accordingly -- they just keep making them over and over and over again.
At this point, I guess you could say I'm out. Star Wars on TV has proven a dead end as far as I'm concerned -- it's up to the films to invigorate this franchise for me now.
No, probably not.
As someone who has nothing but contempt for the way the "Legends" continuity (Lord, I hate referring to it that way; the EU was never one single continuity even at the best of times) unfolded, there are still loads of characters from it that I love, all of whom have loads of potential, and who I'd love to see brought into the "canon" continuity. So far, though, it's been a bust; the only EU-borne characters I've seen in the new continuity are the ones Lucas & co. brought into it prior to the sale of Lucasfilm to Disney. Frankly, the complete disregard of those characters is starting to annoy me.
^I think you're reading his words, but not really getting his message.

It was just confirmed that first standalone SW film, Rogue One, will be about a band of Rebels stealing the plans of the first Death Star.
Kyle Katarn stole the Death Star plans!
And seeing as I consider Kyle and his role in the EU as part of my personal canon, that means Rogue One is automatically disqualified from admittance into it.
And I was so looking forward to adding another live-action SW film to my canon. I'll guess I'll just have to wait for the second standalone to come along before that opportunity re-presents itself ... *sigh*

Where do you dream up 50 years? Guinness would have been like 11 years old. He turned 62 while filming ANH. Some people try to place him at much older. But that was his age.
I assume you're replying to me, correct? Well, not only did I say more than 50 years (54 if you want an exact number), I was talking about the age of the Empire, not Ben himself. Ben himself I imagine as having been born about six years before the transition. That would make him about 59/60 in the first movie, which isn't too far off from his real-life age at the time.
^Yes, you insecticidal maniac, it certainly does.
I, too, don't even.

JEDIT: How did you spoilerize that?
Yes -- tell us this most sought-after secret!
The OT doesn't concretely nail down the date of the Empire's formation.
One could infer from Ben's dialogue in the first film that it happened relatively late in the lives of Ben and Anakin, but that's only if you decide to take his words at 100% face value. Personally, I choose to be more liberal with my approach and run with the idea that the Republic became the Empire over fifty years before the events of the original movie -- before the Clone Wars came to an end, even before Palpatine rose to power -- and interpret Ben's comments about the Old Republic as reflecting a longing for a past golden age he's heard much about but never personally experienced.
Dwight Fry, I've wept atop a bed and released gigolo-flaying clowns -- the Czar Whores -- who paddled down into town to watch Injun frotage reels and join the ewe sailor for a dew soothie. The Czar Whores' quickenings accelerated speciation on Hoth. If you endanger dames and entice the Czar Whores, androgynoids will halve your time to infest. Hatch the Barry Manilow; Cher's alot of San Francisco is there. You, Don Juan, are a Miss.

Alright guys, I've went ahead and released a video breaking down the Star Wars: Battlefront in-engine footage reveal and the new trailer for the new movie The Force Awakens giving speculation on both. If you enjoy games and enjoy Star Wars and have the time to invest; watch the video. There's alot of info in here you don't want to miss.

Did you REALLY have to post this exact post in every single thread?
Apparently, he's got a fetish for being banned.

making peace with the prequels is key to a happy healthy life.
If by "making peace" you mean "shooting them dead and burying them in an unmarked grave in the middle of the desert", then I agree 110%. =P
