Well your donkey needs to watch the film again.
He did a couple weeks ago. He still considers it overrated, contrived, pretentious cinematic swill.
If…that’s how you feel but exactly how is a film that isn’t much complex than surface layer bullshit “pretentious”? I mean it’s a little deeper than Batman vs Joker like in Batman 89 but it’s not even as complex as the OT Star Wars films.
I’m not going to get into a big argument over this. All I need say is this: I prefer Batman to have elements of the gothic and/or fantastic in his world, the Nolan films have none of that, I don’t care for what they do have, end of story, end of discussion.

Foul VHS. Will I never be rid of you?!

The argument that George Lucas always intended the Jedi to be selfless and emotionless people is not true. Hell, in the first draft of TPM (found here: http://starwarsuniverse2.tripod.com/id7.html) Obi-Wan ends up falling in love with Anakin’s mother!
I can’t decide if you are trying to be funny or you genuinely believe that these ‘rough drafts’ were written by Lucas.
I’m guessing the former.
Haha!
That’s SuperShadow material, so he must be joking.
By the way, is reading this thread what it is like spending time at TF.n?
Yes – if you remove 95% of the posts contesting Scott109’s statements and replace them with posts supporting them.

Sompote “Sands” Saengduenchai’s Crocodile. How can you not love a movie where this happens?
This has inspired me to write a sonata. I shall call it “Grace de Crocodilia”.
I’m going to drown this hoser in a vat of maple syrup and slice him up into Canadian bacon, eh.
I hate season 2 of TNG for one reason… Dr. Pulaski. Crusher is replaced by this idiot jerk doctor who’s racist against Data (being an android) to emulate a McCoy/Spock style thing, but it just comes off as Pulaski being a racist jerk. After season 2 Crusher comes back, so all’s good from then on.
I welcomed the character if only because she brought some interpersonal conflict into a show which had a dearth of interpersonal conflict.
If the Jedi of the OT forbade romance/marriage/etc., then wouldn’t this little taboo have been hinted at somewhere in the OT?
Why would it need to be hinted at in the Original Trilogy? Luke was on a need-to-know basis throughout the entire Original Trilogy. George Lucas only revealed the most vital elements of the backstory which were absolutely necessary for the audience to understand the plot and the characters.
I hope you’re not implying a “George had the backstory all planned out” scenario here.
The only Jedi whom Luke encountered were Obi-Wan and Yoda, who were both single and celibate and who both wore monk robes.
They were single, yes, but single =/= celibate. Ben and/or Yoda could have had lovers who died, either of natural causes or during the Jedi Purge.
George Lucas gave every indication that the Jedi Order was a monastic order of warrior monks.
He also had Jedi forming families in earlier film drafts, even with the warrior monk aspect in place.
The city nearest to my home town used to have a problem with feral rabbits; seems somebody abandoned their pet rabbits and they started to breed out of control until they become noticeable pests.
If that rabbit’s a female and pregnant …
And to be honest the last classic/history making movie in recent memory was The Dark Knight.
Classic movie my donkey.

Yes, the last episode is satisfying. I always wanted the show to end on New Year’s Eve, 1979, and I’m glad it delivered.
Of course, conversely, I am disappointed the show didn’t begin on New Year’s Eve, 1969. It would have been neat if That '70s Show had actually covered the entire decade from start to finish.
I’d call him Frank Miller’s little catamite.
I’ve never played Mario Party and unspecific god willing, I never will.
“Imma leave a horse’s head in your bed, you zoccola!”
Why did the bad joke cross the road? Because its punchline was on the other side.
Pre-emptive strike.

FILMS
I’m gonna have to rewatch The Final Frontier before I can decide where to slot it in.
Seven days is a long time to spend jacking off in a corner.
Watto on a Pepsi can? Pshaw!
Ric Olié on a can of Mountain Dew, on the other hand? Now that’s something to behold!
