Speak in Braille, consarn it!
Best thread ever. If only I’d remembered to take its message to heart several months ago.
Oh, well, unlike many of my past mistakes, this one is easily rectified.
I see everyone’s forgotten to mention Dragonslayer, a PG movie which had full rearal nudity (Quite shapely rearal nudity, too.).
Unless you’re dealing with homicidal gynoids. In that case, do not want!
If it’s at all possible, someone more skilled than I should make a mashup of these two songs.
I want to see a brainless Han Solo remote-controlled by a race of go-go dancers.
“Machine Head” by Bush.
He hasn’t visited the site since the 6th, so I’m going to hope his recent drive-by posting will usher in another several-months-long absence.
Yes, my posts may be confident (which might be irritating to some people) but they are never offensive.
No, of course not.
Anyone else here a Sonic the Hedgehog fan? Just curious.
I use to be when I was about 7. Not long afterwards, those kind of games became too primitive for me to enjoy.
Not directly. Only obliquely, through subtle insinuations.
I will agree that the duels in the PT may be more visually stimulating and appealing, but in terms of characterization and emotion, the OT duels are way ahead of anything in the PT.
I don’t see how Dooku and Hayden spinning coloured glowsticks above their heads in extreme closeup, CGI Yoda bouncing around like a constipated frog, CGI Palpatine leaping off the walls, or Obi-Wan and Hayden twirling their lightsabers around like synchronized baton twirlers could ever be considered visually stimulating, let alone appealing.
O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000) – 7.5/10
After some careful consideration, I’ve decided to upgrade my rating to a full 8.
That is all.
It’s that time of year again – the time when spring runoff causes the drinking water to turn yellow and bitter 'til June.
I’m not in-the-know. What’s wrong with wookieepedia?
Personally, I find Wookieepedia flawed when it comes to distinguishing pre-PT continuity from post-PT continuity and original authorial intent from later retcons.
So, if you’re just a casual fan just wanting basic info on any given SW topic, Wookieepedia’s a good resource. If you’re more interested in, say, figuring out how the early EU envisioned the Clone Wars and the rise of the Empire, however, you’ll have to get your hands dirty and seek out the various old novels and sourcebooks for that kind of information.
Fant4stic: 4/10
Took too long to get started but wasn’t completely terrible until the half-way point. Terrible CGI is basically unforgivable in the movie and a lot of stuff makes no sense. I don’t even know why I watched it.
You are being far too generous with your 4/10.
I have too much respect for the source material to even watch the trailer for that abomination.
Luke is a trans girl and Leia is his (her?) future self rather than his sister.
This is batshit crazy enough to be intriguing.
That said, your video doesn’t quite sell the concept for me.
Not on the Canadian version of Amazon, you can’t. I paid $47 for my used copy of TESB, and brand new, unopened copies of any of the three movies cost anywhere from almost $90 to almost $200.
This is the image I’m currently using on my desktop:
I find photos of lakeside/seaside rural areas with heavy, dark rainclouds in the sky relaxing, so I almost always use them as desktop images.
Don’t dignify his existence with a response.
“You know, my hips overheat a lot.”
Exactly what I thought, right after thinking “that is the exact opposite of what the character is.”
I find fan art mostly very depressing.
Too often, I find official art moreso.
Case in point, here’s a non-SW example:

And yet they could in The Fellowship of the Rings.
Isn’t it ironic, don’tcha think?
If this is handled well, it could end up great. Tarantino movie in space (without the violence, obviously). If it’s not, wel…
Tarantino movie without violence? That’s like a David Lynch movie that makes sense.
The Elephant Man, Blue Velvet, and The Straight Story all exist, thus your joke ultimately fails.
I don’t really care about the actual ratings, but basically equating those four movies is crazy talk.
One of those four,
is not like the other ones…I like Treasure Planet. It’s not fantastic, but I enjoy it. Or were you not referring to that?
Since I gave Treasure Planet a 7, I’m not exactly considering it equal with those other three, anyway, as they are half a point higher.
But whatever. *shrug*
It’s been 4 years already. Let it go.
Sounds reasonable.
