[fill in the blank] Just Died!
Time

That “obituary” is misleading and semi-fictional. The reef is in bad shape to be sure, but it is not completely dead by any means. The majority of bleaching occurred at the far north end and surveys indicate that about 22% of the coral is dead. Many scientists have said that it may be too late to save the reef, but it has certainly not been “pronounced dead”.

I will take my previous statement and re-apply it to those sensationalist reporters.

Maybe this hypothetical personal was so distracted by the amazing acting that they didn’t realize the plot was nonsensical, or vice versa.

Even so, if that amazing element caused the person to really like the movie, they shouldn’t begin to hate it because of a less good aspect they didn’t notice. No film is perfect, there’s always going to be something that could have been done better. But what’s ultimately the most important is your experience with the film and how you felt about it. Just because a film has issues doesn’t mean you have to dislike it.

Exactly.

For a long time, Stargate was my #1 favourite film. I tried to watch it at least once a week and recommended it to anyone I could, even if I suspected it wasn’t the type of movie for them. Then around 2008, after I got regular Internet access, I became exposed to the various opinions people had on Stargate, learned about all the plotholes, leaps in logic, and general gaffes I hadn’t noticed myself, and became aware of just how flawed the film really was.

Nowadays, I don’t consider Stargate my #1 favourite; to be quite honest, on my list of favourite films, it sits right there down on the bottom. I still consider it a favourite, though, and I still get enjoyment out of it regardless of its glaring imperfections.

Frevious is just being frevious – allowing the naysayers to make up his mind for him and trying oh-so-very hard to say even more nays than they ever did.

A film with bad dialogue, bad acting, and bad cinematography can’t be a good movie just because it was shot over 12 years.

To me, clowns aren’t funny. In fact, they’re kind of scary. I’ve wondered where this started and I think it goes back to the time I went to the circus, and a clown killed my dad.

With a hot dog or a taco?

Perhaps I’m biased since I grew up on comics from the late 90s and 00s. Granted, those were mostly Superman books, so you may ne right about him being the only good thing from that era.

It’s not that I think anything non-Superman-related stuff from that period is bad; it’s that I think Crisis was absolutely unnecessary.

Instead of destroying the DC Multiverse/crushing it down into a single DC Universe – killing/erasing/re-writing the histories of characters needlessly – the writers could’ve started focusing on a new streamlined Earth in the multiverse. That way they could’ve easily told all the same stories that came out post-Crisis while avoiding most of the negative fan backlash and continuity issues that followed.
