What are you reading?
Time

I’ve started reading this:

I haven’t gotten very far into it, but I’m already frustrated with it. Pena seems to think weighing the narrative down with references to obscure EU persons, places, and things makes for good storytelling; it doesn’t. I’m none too taken with the dialogue, either.

Pena should probably stick to articles and reference books and leave the prose up to people who are more than elevated fan-fic writers.

Star Wars: Knight of the Empire -- Revamped Edition *COMPLETE*
Time

I have finished revising the screenplay. Among the fixes I mentioned above and some of Wannabe Scholar’s suggestions, I have made these changes to the screenplay:

  • I have renamed Bajilon Prime/the Bajilon system Townowi/the Townowi system.
  • I have added another Force-adept clone to the plot: THX-1138, SGW’s lover and co-conspirator.
  • I have removed Aayla Secura from the plot and replaced her with Tarkin.

I have modified the entries here to reflect this new draft. Sections of the script which WEREN’T noticeably/significantly modified were placed in quote blocks; portions which WERE modified lie outside the quote blocks.

The link to the pdf of the revised screenplay can be found in my signature below.

Sounds reasonable.

Luke force-throws a newer most dangerous ever Death Star into a supernova and saves the galaxy. The movie makes $500 million. Fans wonder why Kenobi or Luke didn’t do that to the other Death Stars or Starkiller. Some moderator on TFN proclaims that their force powers weren’t strong enough, but Luke trained for 30 years until he could do it. He found some ancient training method from some obscure world in some EU or Legends novel. Then someone asks why The Emperor didn’t force-throw the entire Rebel Fleet to the other side of the galaxy. Then a few people cry out “it’s just a movie, who cares!”

I fully expect these things to happen in the next movie. This is the direction the franchise has been going for almost 20 years.

Sounds extra reasonable.
