Slightly off topic but I just stumbled on this 1997 interview with Lucas after the first SEs came out. Funny how he says there’s more he’d like to make but there’s ‘no plans’ to change them again. Interesting how he also brings up that enhanced versions of the Indiana Jones films were gonna be done which fortunately we never got.

I’ve actually got a number of bus tickets saved up. These days, I suppose you could say I just lack impetus to go. Nothing modern Hollywood produces interests me very much, there are no arthouse theatres around here that I’m aware of, and there certainly are no theatrical re-releases of older films I’d definitely want to see on the big screen.

It’s more like the other way around. Without my disability money, they’d be further into debt than they already are. Not to mention that I have to chop the wood, start the fires, do the laundry, and all the various other menial chores they can’t do anymore due to the poor health they brought upon themselves.
