I’ve never been one to get pimples. I was fortunate enough to just skip right over that part of adolescence. But every once in awhile I get a random zit.

Today it’s on my eyelid. Under the lashes. So basically right on top of my eye. And I don’t know what to do about it.

It’s called a stye. Gently wash your eyes out with Johnson’s Baby Shampoo. I used to get these a lot. Now during the summer when I’m outside and sweat more often, I do this once a week or so and I get them less often.

Eh I’ll probably be fine.

*stye*

LOL, this thread is great entertainment.

It’s pretty much the same over and over again so I’m not sure why you enjoy that.

I am saturated with schadenfreude.

Although you like Freddy Got Fingered so maybe that explains it.

Yeah, 'cause 4/10 = like.

Years and years ago I had some game disc that got super scratched up so I asked for a new one for Christmas, which I got, except they put the scratched disc in the new box and tossed it out while putting the new disc in the old box (I could tell because of dog bitemarks on one corner) so they could tell me Santa fixed it with magic.

I don’t believe you. Your parents were ok promulgating Santa and Magic?

Especially when knowing what “Santa” is an anagram of.

What are you reading?

I’ve waited close to three years for this novel. Signed it out from the library last Saturday, began it that night, finished it early this morning.

It’s a dark, haunting story to be sure. The protagonist is often conniving, spiteful, and treacherous; the remaining characters aren’t much more morally upright; the book certainly doesn’t lack for disturbing & violent imagery. At the same time, it’s quite beautiful, mystical, and if not altogether optimistic about the human condition, nevertheless recognizes & cherishes the innate beauty & mysticism of the human condition. It’s a story that certainly resonates with me.
