Things you DID like about Episode III

I agree. I thought McDiarmid was great. He seemed so happy that the waiting was finally over that he could hardly contain himself.

Especially McDiramid's "Unlimited POWER!!!!!!" as he throws the lightning back at Mace Windu. In fact, my favorite scene in the entire movie was the scene of Palpatine and Anakin talking as they watch that opera (or what ever it was). The haunting, unearthly sounds and the lighting were utilized wonderfully. My favorite delivery of a line is "he could influence the midichlorians to create...life." With the subtleties in his face as he glances at Anakin and the tone of that last word, I felt I was witnessing the work of a great actor.

Anakin's Father...
Time
Deep stuff. Deep stuff.

Why don't you think about this:

Anakin had dreams of Padme dying in childbirth, which was the major reason he joined Palpatine and the Sith, to prevent this dream from becoming a reality. HOWEVER, it was ultimately Anakin's turning which caused Padme to give up her will to live, essentially causing the very death seen in Anakin's dream.

You left out the line that follows it: "Only a Sith deals in absolutes."

And yeah, calling epIII politically slanted is stupidity at its lowest form.

I gotta admit that the CG did look pretty spectacular this time around. The space battles looked far more "realistic" in as much as we actually know about fighting in space. CG not as choppy or with as much of a "sore thumb" quality. But who knows how the final film will really look. I thought it was interesting that they had Vader standing there with his arms crossed at the end implying that he really does have some sort of role in this film instead of just being the end of the film.

Anyone know the running time of this movie?

It's too early to say the running time because the film is probably still being edited. I'm hoping that it's over 2 and a half hours. You can't fit everything episode III has to tell us in the running time of an average Star Wars movie.

Troy - for all your Trojan needs
Time
I believe that Troy was one of several movies made in the wake of Lord of the Rings, along with such movies as Alexander and King Arthur. Of those, the only one I managed to see was Troy, and that was at a friend's house. To be honest, I didn't really know what to make of the film. Sadly, the positive aspects of the film did not manage to rise above its weak casting, dull screenply and punishing length, resulting in a film that was (can I really avoid using this word?) very mediocre.
