Star Wars OT & 1997 Special Edition - Various Projects Info (Released)
Time

I have watched the '77 theatrical edition twice now.  The menu is top notch and perhaps the best I've seen on any fan release.  The variety of subs and audio tracks is definitely very very welcome (I can't watch to watch it with isolated score).

While there is the occasional "ghosting" (my eyes are trained to find errors and all for some reason), I'm shocked at the overall quality of this considering it's sourced from a dvd. A fantastic preservation and better than I would have ever hoped.  Definitely the best version of GOUT we have ever seen. Thank you to everyone involved with this project and I eagerly await ESB and RotJ.

part of me wants to say "Apologize accepted, Captain Needa", but I won't. ;)

It's GouT.  and NON-Animorphic 16x9 (meaning it's 4x3 then 2:35.1 on your tv...itsy-bitty teeny-weeny yellow polka-dot bikini on your TV).  As I said, there are MANY other awesome GouT preservations done by folks here that are shades better than what was released in Lucas's mind to get us to shut the hell up about wanting to buy GouT on dvd.

Check your PM box in a minute for a MySpleen invite.

No.  Just no.  No, they aren't on myspleen.  No, will anyone send you links to download them.  That is straight piracy, something that fan editors and preservationists avoid like the plague.  That's the kinda shit that gets us in trouble and sites like OT shut down.

Go find them.  They are on Amazon and Ebay (I just found them for decent prices used).  If you are looking for JUST the Gout releases, there are PLENTY of iso releases online of amazing preservations of them. If you want the special editions (97 or 05), those are still in print.

Do not straight out ask for links to something like this.  That isn't what we do here.  To download any preservation or fan-edit, you are supposed to already own the original material if it is available anyways.  The original Star Wars trilogy is actively available.  Or, and gee I dunno how foreign of a concept this is, but there are TONS of sites that have ISOs up already.  Go Google that shit.

And if you think we are assholes about it, then you can just leave because I guarantee you Mother and the rest of the mod team is gonna be pissed when they read this.

Transformers: The Movie (1986 animated version) (a WIP)

My issues with the Aus BD is that it's 50hz and has been known to not play in a US PS3 (my main bd player), so it does me no good.  And with all of the extras in Pal as well, it's pointless for me.

Though the UK BD is barebones and with messed up sound (that irks the hell outta me), it is playable for me.

Though you can see the tracking line in one part.

I'd suggest a PIF chain like back in the day, but with people not having blu burners or not continuing he chain, that will get pricey quick (and wear out a burner if only a couple people are doing it).

I used to pay for RS for a few years just to host Song of the South, so I know how that can get high.

Spleen might be good, but H&R is an issue (it is for me now since my ISP gave me a cap, which include 10gb/month upload only).

Guess it's back to usenet. lol
