I've never read a single comic book or manga.  Has my life  been void?

Hell, no.  I support this fully.

On another subject, I think "If you need something to B*tch about... this is the place" would be an equally relevant title for this thread.

I wonder how many people use that term know that it's a racial slur?

Makes me wonder if as some point in the future we will start calling all stupid tasteless people "niggers" and have no idea what the word really means or why we use it.

So I guess we are out of comic books to reboot.

I'm so tired of comic book movies. They've made so many of them that I just can't bring myself to watch one ever again, or at least not until I've had a break for a while

I know how you feel.  I am huge comic book fan and I love what Nolan has done with Batman, I really liked MOS, and I love the MCU but I am feeling burnt out.  With Agents of Shield on every week and it seeming like at least a dozen new comic book movies come out every year I am having a hard time getting worked up over them enough to spend money going to see them.

I am not saying that Hollywood has never had trends like this before or that the movies are bad it's just I am feeling burnt out on this trend to the point where even Avengers 2 doesn't have much of an appeal to me.  I may end up playing catch up a few years from now on home video because it just feels so overexposed right now.  I never thought the day would come when I would be sick of seeing comic book movies but I am right now.

Just to be clear this is a personal feeling I have as a person.  Sorry in advance to anyone I upset.

I downgraded my computer to get this POS off of it.  that is right this program came with my computer and I paid money to replace it with XP.

For f**ks sake DrCrow! Will you stop cluttering up off-topic with these old threads. Is there really a need to reopen an 8 year old thread about Windows bloody Vista.

I am having a polite conversation with people about Microsoft OSes in general at this point, you don't like it you don't have to read it.

I however am finding this conversation interesting, just because you don't doesn't mean that no one does.

If I had started a whole new thread about Vista and Microsoft's failed OSes then someone would have complained that I didn't do a search for existing threads.

I am sorry I didn't think about running every aspect of my life for your personal entertainment, you can report me to the mods if you want.

If you can't stand people talking about things that are more then two days old because they are not the hip and trendy at the moment maybe you should just start avoiding people all together, i think you will be a lot happier.

I am now going to return this thread to topic.

I have heard rumors that Microsoft is going to cut off support for seven when ten comes out.  I hope this isn't true since i don't have the money to upgrade and I really don't want to have to work the bugs out of a new OS when the old one is working just fine for me.

Particularly when updating one's version of Windows frequently results in the breaking of cherished programs...

Yeah, Vista was the first Windows OS that would not work with my old Wing Commander and Command and Conquer games and those were some of my favorites as a kid.  I was so relieved when Windows 7 worked with them right out of the box.

I upgrade a as little as possible, the only reason I ended up with seven(which I am happy with by the way)is because it came preinstalled on my computer and since it worked fine I didn't see any reason to replace it with my old copy of XP.

Last web series/tv show seen
Time

Thanks to the local library and Shout Factory finally getting the rights to start releasing the series again I have started working my way through NYPD Blue.  Now this is really good Tv drama just the way I like it.  What is more I can't understand why so many other Christians protested this show when it first came on.  It seems to mostly come from a true Christian view point where sins are not just sins because God says they are sins for no reason, they are sins because they mess your life up.  The law of God is written as a guide to having a good life.  So far every time someone sins it messes up their life in a realistic and not preachy way.  In worldview it may be one of the most Christians shows I have ever seen, they just don't preach about it and let you draw the conclusion by watching the stories play out.

It is extremely well acted too.  I know a lot of people who have never seen this show due to it being off of DvD and not rerun any more but I am telling you if you have not seen it give it a shot, just don't watch it with kids around that is all.

This is a well made drama written for adults, not children.

Yes, that is exactly my point.  It's silly to call a modern film like Man of Steel out for product placement when the first film in the series had a thirty second shot of a cereal box in it.

As for the Lego movie I don't see how it is any better or worse then the movies you mentioned.  i don't think it is trash but it blows my mind that people who complain about product placement in movies see it as one of the greatest film ever made.  To me it is nothing more then a silly toy movie, nothing more and nothing less.

I really hope we don't see the flood gates open and get a movie based on Uno or something like that soon.  I don't think I could make it through two and a half hours of Uno.

Yeah as long as you have good third party anti virus and firewall software there is no reason that you have to upgrade to 7.

I hear Microsoft is really upset that more people aren't ditching XP, hey you know what Microsoft in this day and age there is no reason to upgrade your OS every 3 years because pretty much everything that comes with a new OS can now be downloaded in the form of an update or third party software.  Unless there is a huge leap in computer power a new OS isn't needed any more, adjust your business model to reflect this.

Worst Cliches in Films
Time

Can I add any time a film that is part of a series tries to trick us into believe the star is dead or going to die and blows screen time on this when the studio has been very public about the fact that they signed the star to a multi picture deal?

No one is ever fooled by it these days so it just adds to the movie's run time for no reason.

KNOCK IT OFF!

I have to say I can't believe the number of snobby people I know who hated Man of Steel for it's product placement who praise The Lego Movies as brilliant and proof that more toys should be turned into movies.

If you like the Lego movie that is fine, but you lose the right to ever complain about product placement in a movie or say that makes it a bad movie because the Lego movie is Product Placement Giant Toy Ad:The Movie.

The whole movie is an ad, even the name is an ad.  If there were not toys to sell it would not exist.  It's only purpose is to sell toys, not tell a story.

I really hope this trend dies soon and we can start seeing some films about real people living in the real world start to get made once again.
