It might be possible to digitally remove the offending elements (either puppet or CGI)....

...you might be able to remove some objects from the film...but what do you add and how?

...I like the idea of the burlesque show thing...it definantly depends on how it's handled...

I've wanted to make an edit with some sort of strip-show/dance, but I haven't really found any footage that's usable (footage wise, and content-wise).

Anyone got suggestions on something naughty, yet clean enough to be used in Jedi?

Just a quick question. When I use the test clips, they will play in vlc but with little jumps and lags. The audio has no issues. ...

I tried the ... sample of ESB and the video was one giant lag. Not sure if I have the UDF 2.50 driver or not (running on Vista).

It sounds like your computer isnt up to snuff. It plays on mine flawlessly....

What kind of PC do you have?

My PC is a Pentium 4, 3ghz (ya, old...I know ), I had a lag issue while playing one of the sample clips - the video slowly lagged behind the audio.

I didn't know what other thread I could mention this in, so I'm doing it here...

I did a little comparison video of the Teddy-Bear picnic of ROTJ GOUT and SE.

When I was doing a video of the opening & closing credits of ROTJ (coming soon), I finally decided to rip some footage from the GOUT DVD of Sebastian Shaw's Jedi ghost to use over that Hayden fella. That's when I finally noticed the truck-load of differences between the GOUT, and the SE versions.

Well, if they silly enough to slice-n-dice themselves with their sabre, maybe they weren't destined to be a Jedi.

Although, maybe Fisher-Price will come out with 'Nerf Sabers' - They still light up, and make the sounds like real thing, but they hurt less.

....and they'll be available in hundreds of different colors!!!

As far as Star Wars on Blu-ray is concerned, since I'm only interested in one film, and it happens to be the one that Lucas dislikes - I'm not holding my breath.

Very interested in this idea that Lucas dislikes the first Star Wars... would you care to elaborate, Anchorhead?  I was under the impression that the only one he really disliked was ESB, and that the first was a sentimental favorite (the last part is an assumption on my part).

Anchorhead was referring to ESB. When he said 'Star Wars on Blu-Ray', he meant it in the general sense.
