Since it takes 80 mins betwen downloads I only managed to download the PAL one, if you want me to take a look at the NTSC as well, let me know an I will tomorrow.

Well DJ, I must say that it looks and sounds great to me. I think the sound looks in sync with the video, might be of by 0,01 ms or something but it might be my ears that deceive me? I wanted to give you something constructive, but I don't find anything to criticize... so good job DJ, as allways! Looking forward to the whole thing!

Well it is not released in any shop here in Sweden and its releasedate is as it shows in this picture the 22:nd:

Maybe the ones you know have ordered their from sites outside sweden?

I feel a bit like Luke in the begining of Star Wars (you know... being on a planet far from the center of the universe).

The OUT (or GOUT or wathever) won't be released in Sweden until the 22:nd, no explenations were given, the discs are just delayed! What the fuck is up with that?

Any other country that has to wait?

I got a bit of a Star Wars itch now, I haven't watched the OT since may!

check out ebay... they sometimes go for as low as 50 bucks, but one that is in decent (played with but not broken) condition usually never goes for less than 100 bucks.

I voted No. I don't think that they will put them in the 07-box (if there will be one). And if the OUT makes it to the box, I think it will be the same as the september release.

I sure as hell wish that in the 07-box, there will be anamorphic cleaned up versions of my all time favourite movies... but I wont hold my breath.

I love the LOTR flicks.... think PJ is a great director.... just comparing the fan reaction to another LOTR set, to fan reaction to SW DVD releases..... one results in spin... the other in fanboy outrage.

Well, we did get theatrical cut's of LOTR and we did get extended editions of them to freely choose betwen... If we would have the same options with Star Wars I don't think anyone here would bash Lucas the way we might do today.

I don't complain about Lucas releasing them in 04 and 05 and again now in 06... keep on releasing them in different packages, I don't care. All I want is, as I've said before, a decent looking (that means anamorphic, good quality picture and nice crisp sound) release from a descent master of the trilogy.

I don't know where to begin... but why are you discussing this here, its called "General STAR WARS Discussion". If you don't like Peter Jackson, go bash him in the Off Topic section.

And this site doesn't say it's against different versions on dvd, does it? The main goal of this site as far as I know is to get the original Star Wars trilogy on DVD in a resonable quality.

Personaly, I will probalby buy the new LOTR discs if it still looks good on single DVD's.
