651 frames, more than 27sec!

There is AviSynth script which return 16/35mm side-by-side, sync'ed.
In case anybody wonder why I insert those 9 blank frames at the start of 3rd reel,
just stay tuned until I post IVTC script for the Japanese LDs which are on 'spleen ...

Thanks a lot for separate archives.

I wrote a GOUT-sync script for the 1280x file.
Seems there's a frame missing somewhere between 20th Fox and STAR WARS title card.
Finding its exact location, amid all the blackness and static logo shots, seemed like a fool's errand.
So I punted. Instead the script begins with STAR WARS title card.
There it is.

It includes two merge() commands to handle repeated frames.
In the scene where Luke tastes Yoda's pottage, frames 78089 & 78090 are repeats of 78087 & 78088 respectively.
They seem to be from different sources, so the merge() looks ugly, but hey-- it's only a frame-counting excercise.
When Yoda watches Luke enter the cave, 90676-709 are duplicates of 90642-675 respectively, apparently the same source.

GOUT-sync wasn't your stated goal; I do understand that.
Repeats probably weren't the goal either . . . I'm guessin'.

Thanks a lot for sharing.
I hope the "release early and often" trend will continue.

I hope team will get the pars sorted.
If another repack is needed, I hope the team would pack the 1280x and 1920x separately.

We wait meanwhile...

Unfortunately it's corrupt and doesn't have enough par2 files. The one from two days earlier is corrupt too and unfixable too. :(

I downloaded it and i only have 1 file corrupt, "ESB Deconstructed (REPACK).part007.rar"
If part007 is the only broken one, then that means
empire_strikes_back_color_corrected_version01a.mp4
is the only file which cannot be extracted.
The rest of the archive, including workprint1080p.mp4 could be extracted, right?
Since nobody mentioned doing it, I just want to say that it's possible.

stretch, which part(s) from the 2-days-old posting are broken?
The main feature in that older archive comprise rar parts 2-30.
if they're intact . . .

Think I've found 8 repeat frames in 1080p.wmv

First clue was 180 frames between cue marks, instead of 172.
Became curious, so I took a closer look.
Next clue was seeing twice the same bubble on bull's neck (49595 & 49603).

Here's AviSynth code to illustrate:

c16mm = ffVideoSource("Song of the South 16mm 1080p.wmv")\
.crop(240,0,-240,0).spline16Resize(720,540)\
.showFrameNumber(scroll=true)

return merge(trim(c16mm,49585,49600), invert(trim(c16mm,49593,49608)))

Maybe my decoder is buggy?

------ edit -------

More info for anybody who might like to try this at home:
If the first frame is called "00000",
cue marks appear at 49422-49425 then again 49606-609.
Do the math, that's 180 clear frames between the two cues.
Frames 49597-49604 look to be repeats of 49589-596 respectively.

Less than 8 gb, so it's possible that you found the original.
However unlikely, it's also possible that you found . . .

In the 4th disc 'spleen torrent comments
benduwan said it worked on his PC, but had problem playing on his TV.

That made me curious, so I checked my 2004 copy against the 'spleen torrent file, which indicate 99% complete.
The VOB files are identical, while the IFOs have different checksums.

Wonder if that could be the reason for benduwan's troubles?

I'm willing to post Supplemental Materials on Usenet.
It's the same version seeded at torrentbox.com tracker on 2004-03-29, later indexed on suprnova.org

I still wish I could have tracked down the Mitsubishi pressing of The US CAV version of Empire.
I've got that one here. Might lend it, depending upon your location.

I think it might be CX-encoded, but shouldn't have been if I understand the rules.
I've ripped a 2-minute sample from side2 surrounding the snow speeder crash.
(The sound effect missing from '93 remix.)
Check your PM...

Harmy's RETURN OF THE JEDI Despecialized Edition HD - V3.1

When I got v1.0 from tehP in 2011, the rars contained ISO image of 8,460,697,600 bytes.
CRC/SFV was EEA9D6FE; MD5 was b530ffd554007480570669a69fdfeed0

If you go to tehP today you'll be led to rars containing BDMV folder.
The big m2ts file is 8,459,649,024 bytes.
CRC/SFV is 96293032, same as the one in the ISO,
whose MD5 is 38512e238756297acbcd7549b1808686

As for 'official' NFO file, I'm not sure one exists.
Neither rar set contain one, nor the 'spleen torrent.
There was NFO file posted to usenet, but I'm guessin' it was copy/pasted from Post_306 of this thread, or from tehP

PS - By the way so far I've only looked into the large file of Ep. 4, but are these legit? Quality seemed a bit iffy to me. Not sure if someone re-coded them therefore compromising all of your hard work and quality.

Info Hash: CBD989AF1D762D97D60947D44264A80CB7D6D227

^ 160 bits long, so I'll dare to presume that's a sha1sum.
It doesn't match the 2.5 mkv (Harmy gave its sha1sum in the first post of the thread.)
Doesn't match "AVCHD v2.5.iso" file, nor the largest file in its BDMV folder

So does this only affect Empire, or is SW 2.5 affected too?

The title card for SW appears at frame 689 too, so both are affected according to this post.
No SW 2.5 is not affected. It should begin at 689, and does.

Sorry if my earlier message was unclear. The "T" in GOUT does stand for Trilogy after all.
But when I wrote "GOUTs" as plural I only meant 'both NTSC & PAL ESBs' are the ones which begin 688.
